I'm about halfway through the main story content and I've been wondering something. Is it ever explained why the sinners can manifest EGO? Based on their EGO artwork they all seem to be wearing prison clothes and in holding cells that are identical, which would imply that Limbus Company specifically recruited them (voluntarily or otherwise) for their gifts or else just experimented on them until they could manifest EGO. But this seems like a pretty major talent for them to all have. I don't mind being spoiled on this if it's explained later.
