Why does the game lie to you? Or rather, what is up with the lag in this game? The amount of times I am using an ability like Ivy 3 (ring on the ground to show you where your ability will land) and land on an enemy in the ring but nothing happens to them is wild. Like straight up they are standing in the ring, let alone the actual model hitting them, but they don't get stunned. I fucking hate getting cucked out of my ability when the game is showing me and telling me it will work, but doesn't. Or the opposite, you very obviously dodge an ability (Geist bomb for example) but still take full damage despite NOWHERE near the damage ring/range. Or the infamous "blutooth punch" melee kills/hits.

I think Dota has Deadlock beat when it comes to item builds right now. Dota has less items you can have on you (6 max, technically you can have 9 but only 6 will give you it's effects) but because of that limited space the items you get are much higher impact. In Deadlock right now, the majority of items essentially amount to stat sticks and you can only have at max 4 active items. While you can have characters with builds that rely on more gun damage, spirit damage, or more tanky/support items it ultimately amounts to just different stats. The difference in builds are just optimizing either power spikes or late game damage/survivability. It feels very boring in comparison. I think a big part of the issue is just in general how stat reliant the game is. Everything is based off of scaling, gun damage, health, all abilities/anything spirit related. If you aren't using items to scale and get a power spike then you need to stay away from fights as best you can. Tier 4 items are extremely expensive and take forever to get if it's not already 25~ minutes into the game so it's hard to build around those since you likely won't be able to reasonably get a 6400 item before 20 minutes unless you're a hyper farmer character or you're skipping past lower tier essentials just to grab that.
