This system works better in BA since they usually run 2 banners in parallel and the spark system is shared between them so if you get one character through normal rolling in 200 rolls you just spend the spark on the other banner and get both at the end. The spark doesn't carry over though so if you've done like 100 rolls for example and get her you might as well do another 20 more to grab an extra copy.

I can't believe they blundered this game. They had the perfect template for the perfect gacha that would have secured their future for many years as one of the best and most respected developers. Literally, appealing characters, growing hype and people willing to try it out, amazing core gameplay with fluid combat and tons of room to grow, many other systems in place to keep the player busy like gifts and character stories, multiple game modes that aren't actually terrible for once, great music, good looking and responsive gui, great 3D trailers and cutscenes (the few that they have), Japan willing to put their faith into the game, kits that feel unique and interesting although need a bit of balancing, thousands of players who enjoyed the game enough to spend until the game EoS'd if only the prices were a little more fair, just enough fanservice to appeal to gooners without being so in your face that it turned more normal players off, etc, etc, etc. There's so much potential in this game, they got past the point that 99% of devs can't get through just by making the combat appealing and somewhat fun to do. Most devs can't make appealing combat, especially for multiple characters even in non-gachas. Look at megabonk's character differentiation for instance.... They literally had a banger on their hands that through word of mouth and just a tiny bit of generosity to build trust would have secured the future of Yostar as a company not only as a producer but also a developer. They had to ACTIVELY go out of their way to drop the ball on this and they still managed it. It was so comically mismanaged that people are saying it had to be sabotage, but I honestly think it's just incompetence. Yostar probably didn't care enough about the losses they would take on this project because they are secure in their publishing endeavours. I don't even think they realize the golden opportunity they had on their hands with this title.
