So it seems once every 55 days, GS will get a new season. there are 52 weeks in a year, so in weekly gems, you can get 520 per year. Assuming every season gives 50 gems, then it's more or less 350 on top of that, 870 gems, enough to buy one season's worth of characters plus one of the cheaper ones... Assuming they always release 3 characters per season (Or at least do so for the first year), it's more or less 20 or 21 characters per year, that's 5250 gems, more than any of the game's gem packs give, and even the one time deal pack won't give enough to last even a year... Though you can make up the difference in the pack that gives the most gems (5100) by playing occasionally.I don't play other mobas, are they this, ridiculously impossible to get every character without overspending? I remember thinking League of Legends gave shards slowly, but at least you could pick any character at any time, and I don't remember characters having different prices. I do hear Dota 2 has every character for free at least.

Ultimately, while one can debate the merits of Goku passing the torch as the MC of the franchise, the reality is that we're long past the point when it was possible. If the Buu saga ended with Gohan as the hero, you could then conceiveably have a Goten series or Pan series or whatever. But it has not been so. The OG manga/Z ends with Goku returning to prominence, followed by a Goku centric ankme sequel (GT) which cemented his status as the face of the franchise. When we had a revival, it was then obviously back to Goku as the MC. Now with short breaks, he has been at this place for 40 years. DB is synonymous with Goku, it can't change. Like Batman and Bruce Wayne or Spider-Man and Peter Parker etc. You can have spin-offs where someone else takes the center stage, that's what Super Hero was essentially. But long-term? Dragon Ball is Goku.

I really don't understand the mentality of people who say Dragon Ball is overrated. Ults like Freeza's and Cooler's also can't, but they have range and you can attack during them. 17's Ult can't even kill level 1 Vegeta if you have full red cards deck with four stacks snowball).
