As a deckbuilder roguelike enjoyer, I've quite enjoyed this game for the few hours that I've played so far. There are still a lot of mechanics that I need to understand and to also memorize the card pool and moves but it seems like the type of game where you can go very autistic about optimization which is something I look forward to. Hopefully they fix their dogshit client though because it's a fucking pain to open the game through it.

Without a Protos with you, you're basically in a randomizing maze and doomed to starve to death or be killed by monsters. They're somewhat rare and controlled by the Empire who forces Protos to regularly sync all their memories with the Imperial database. They're obviously more valuable than average Agents, who just need to be able to fight, but common enough that if one dies the Empire can just replace them (Renoa mentioning that if you died the Empire would just send a replacement).However there's something special about (You), because of course there is, and the Empire is ready to sacrifice literally every single Agent on the SS Nightmare for you.
