>>543831245no problem. no spec in wow is so difficult that it cant be picked up by a newer player or someone learning the role (except outlaw rogue, fucking AVOID outlaw rogue), blood death knight just has certain mechanical quirks that take a bit more forethought and understanding than warrior or guardian druid which are very straightforward brick wall tanks. probably the most difficult is that deathstrikes healing is based on roughly 5 seconds of damage that precedes it. which means if you use it right after a big hit, it will heal for a lot, but if you wait until after that 5 second window has passed and gone, it has essentially lost the snapshot of that damage, and it wont consider it when it heals, so it will heal for less. this means you need to have runic power stored and ready to react to big hits or high damage.also just some general tanking advice. damage is highest at the start of a pull, so dont be shy about using a defensive cooldown like vampiric blood or dancing rune weapon right away, and in a lot of cases basic enemy mob packs in a dungeon do more damage than bosses at the start, so use your cooldowns liberally for them. also dont use all your cooldowns at the same time overlapping, instead rotate them first use X, then after that ones done use Y. this isnt always true, sometimes you might need 2 to survive a mechanic or a particularly rough pull, but it is generally good practice. also you usually want to rotate bosses to face them away from the party, a lot of bosses and mobs have breath attacks or cones. dont aim the dragon at the party is a good habit to form blood DKS usually dont have much trouble with aoe threat, blood boil and blood plague are great passive threat generators, as well as the boneshield pop damage.
