The issue with casual content is they make it easy instead of approachable, which are two wildly different concepts in game design. Easy is boring, approachable is fun. Basically what I'm saying is make it fucking interesting. Even basic ass grinds can be fun if you present it in a way that is interesting. The issue lies within FFXIV combat in general. Mechanics are to be solved, not reacted to.The 'casuals' are just people who don't do fights that you'd optimally watch a guide for, and that's fine. Homework content is a slog and I myself don't touch it anymore since clearing Valigarmanda. I can use my time in a better way. OC not having a normal-mode raid and just the FT we got was the final straw for me and I honestly don't care if the game dies out at this point. It's deserved. Imagine learning from Eureka and Bozja and taking a 1-expansion break from making forays and you create the abomination that is OC.
