I asked to remove the the roguelike system and just implement a simple RPG gameplay.
Regarding gifts: Blue gifts give 225 exp, gold gifts give 750, this is doubled when being given on a date. It takes 6 blues to craft 1 gold, so you're better off just gifting blues instead since the same exp from 1 gold is equivalent to 3.3 blues. I guess if you're a whale and you can buy gifts you'd be better off using golds because of daily limits, though.
