I forgot that you can just buy mage hoods and mage robes from the shop. That makes them the easiest cloth armor to get to +20 with all the extra cash from farming drops or doing bounties.

Livana's skill is a slightly weaker FPS but she gets to slam it without the charge up so she will win in damage too.

In that case regardless of Lana, there's gonna be damage that needs to be healed. It doesn't really matter since it's such a short expedition and no way I'll run out of MP against the necro but still. Guess we'll have to see where Abyss 4 breakpoints are at for it to really be useful for random encounters.
