The summer horror camp event is Emiya as a 30 year old boomer with a bunch of zoomers and ancient ones like Consort Yu making fun of his age. And the BB Fate Extra SERAPH event where he raged himself back to life after Kiara was making a self-congratulatory victory speech mocking humanity. Herc was the only one that ever carried a CE (his bond ce) but he never actually ended up needing it. Honestly don't even bother with CEs, they're just too costly, you can field another servant instead and have advantage in numbers. I think in the whole event there are only 2 enemies she is weak against. Another thing is read the dialogue before the mission, they usually explain you how to counter the mission's gimmick. Also select the day events as they are in theory easier. You don't need grailed servants to finish the event, whenever you fight you get showered with crit stars so most fights end at the first turn.

There's not a lot of content FGO in that requires you to field a solo Servant, but she shines in Grail Front due to the mechanics. You want to use all of Barghest's skills immediately and just hit red cards, nothing else matters. Solo Servants are a playstyle since the first Cu Lancer and the latest is that Irish valentine lady Bazett. Solo Servants primarily exploit the gameplay quirks of death/guts. Once a Solo Servant dies, their guts activates and the enemy turn ends. That's why I always recommend a new player at some point to learn how to use Cu Lancer at the start when appropriate so they get a better feel for the mechanics. When paired up with the right craft essence a Solo Servant can do a shit ton of work without any meta support. For Barghest (or whoemever you use as a solo), the qualities you want are HP generation/Guts. Grail Front defaults to whatever mystic code you have in your party, so go back to the main menu and look at the party setup and change the mystic code to something you won't forget it defaults to in Grail Front event.Beyond that there isn't an art to this, you learn as you play (when should you build NP gauge vs red cards). In this event there weren't any Foreigners that I know of so you have more reason to field Hercules if appropriate. Solo Servants: Bazett, Herc, Barghest, Cu Lancer, Qui Shin Huang. The lower rarity means you can bring a craft essence without hurting the deploy costs too much.

Not sure on Mary Reed, Tamamo Cat, or DanzoTargets you'll want to consider raising: Medusa Lancer, CaenisHerc can still be usable without his bond CE.Barrier CEs are 1*CEs from fp summon that have 1 party cost and reduce damage by 50 or so. For the mystic codes you wear, consider Atlas, Standard, or Arctic. These suggestions are just what I see scattered in your image and aren't exhaustive. When you pick who to field look at the enemies on the field and see what you'll actually need. With the exception of the ambush map, don't use an expensive servant for 1 shadow class. You get 2+ NPC Archers with damage CEs so David or someone weaker can fill in.
Oh a REALLY good Servant to field for Grail Front as a free filler is Saint George. He has Taunts and Guts so just have him follow someone around as a meatshield. Or park him in a place on the map where enemy respawn to block it. He can tank like 4 turns by himself, did I mention his extremely low AP cost? The downside is you give up having a DPS and Scathach/Ozymandias/Reines but if you're looking for essentially a free Rider Servant on the map this is your guy.

>>544187359There are two sets of chests, wink. If you clear this event Grail Front in Day, then you didn't get the Night map's chest loot. I think the chests are worth it for the material drops. You can never have enough materials (things for skill upgrades and ascension upgrades). And they're essentially free. Unlike past Grail Fronts there's no turn limit (it used to be 15 turns max IIRC), so as long as you stop the enemies from spawning and don't aggro the boss of the map you'll be okay. The hardest map was the final one because of all the gimmicks, my biggest tip is save the NPC Ptolemaios for the boss. He easily hits like a truck against the boss.

The problem is, that the dynamic was kinda fucked from the start, since only one team is even interested in fighting, while everyone else is pacifistic/neutral. Thus you had fun moments like Zouken coming back like three times. Which might have been okay, but they never focused too much on the camps. Its kinda like you say. In FSN, you had three routes, so for example even though Caster was basically a non-entity that appeared for two minutes in the Fate route to cash in her Bad Ends, and was immediately wrecked by Gilgamesh, in the UBW route you actually saw her motivations and personality. In OC1 you didn't really have another route, so you get stuff like Sakura whose whole character is "nice girl that cares about her area" since she has no extra route. They even make it clear that there could be nothing extra to the characters, since they are AI, so the AI Sakura was legit just slapped with the "Sakura" moniker, without any of her edge or actual issues, similiar to Parvati, but with even less presence.

Sion is way more mechanical, and a lot more like her Melty Blood self. Sakura is just a farmer who enjoys small things in life, and has no edge, because she's an alter ego. She's not a weak girl, she's a farmer, but she's fine just living out her days easily doing ordinary things.Everyone is boiled down into a single aspect of themselves. Everyone in the story is an alter ego of themselves. Everything about them got boiled down into a small faction of their original selves, so they could hyper focus on a single trait or a single idea. Gilles was turned into Bluebeard who is an alter ego of himself. Chinese guy was turned into an alter ego that only focused on his desire to do as his lord said without thinking for himself, just a machine. The story asks you whether alter egos are good, whether they can be good, whether they're useful. Turning someone into an autistic one note aspect of themselves. In a sense it can be good, eliminating all the negative aspects of someone and hyperfocusing on a single aspect, getting rid of the unnecessary parts. But most of the time it can just result in something far more troublesome. The final battle shows you why it can be good, two people that knew each other reaching a different answer than in life because they became alter egos, they could reach a different answer. Alter Ego is a class that allows heroic spirits to reach an answer that would be impossible for their normal selves to reach.

Every time I read about Servants that barely have any relation to each other somehow knowing each other, I can't help but think the Throne of Heroes is less of a "anachronistic record storing the feats and details of humanity's greatest" and more like a temp agency where people are just forced to sit at and given contract employment every now and then and they all just kind of make small talk or browse their smartphones while waiting for their next assignment.
