Man, in the Leo event and character story they really play up hunters attacking the jungle and Leo being captured for a while and escaping. Even though her dream is creating a jungle where humans and animals live in harmony, she's really mistrusting of a "zoo", like wondering if the Friends are happy because they've been "domesticated". And several times hiding when she thought humans were approaching. Kemono Friends has never done something like this before, right? An animal wary due to being abused by humans.Kind of wish they had played up more her reaction to getting a human-like form considering her overall state at the start of the story. She's surprised in the moment but you'd think the reaction would have been bigger since she still mistrust humans for a while afterwards.

Finished the event story. Leo finds White Lion and Cave Lion and wonders if they don't want to leave the Park to gain freedom...This conversation has a rare moment of the Friends explicitly talking about their former lives. Cave Lion notes she's different from Leo and White Lion, and she wouldn't even have a "home" outside to return to, although it'd be complicated to explain to them.She lived free and rampaged for a lifetime, but one day she "slept" for a long time, until waking up in the park. She sees the park as a paradise where she doesn't need to hunt other animals and worry about survival or food unlike in her former life. White Lion adds she's still free to go, eat and sleep anywhere, no less free than before. Cave Lion also enjoys hanging out with every animal, something she couldn't do before. This ends up settling Leo's fears about the park, and she decides to travel around it to see it all.On the side, for some reason, there was a subplot about Unico returning to the park to fulfill a promise of meeting the expedition team again, but she actually didn't have her memories from the first time she was a Friend, just the sense she had to meet someone. She ends up meeting the expedition team by the end and they celebrate their reunion (although Unico's memories from the first collab seemingly don't return). I was kind of surprised Unico was treated as a standard animal as far losing Friend memories when going back to animal form goes.
