It's a class that give a clever player some extra tools in the tabletop with the mage hand shit and illusions, while also giving you an easy sneak attack if you pick find familiar. Those are basically too tedious to bother with (mage hand), limited by any realistic scope for vidya (illusion magic), or stupidly easy to enable because you're controlling multiple characters and have a wide variety of ways to enable advantage due to items in game (sneak attack). Not to mention there's multiple free familiars in game anyway.The nicest thing I can say about it is when you have another caster concentrating on something more important like haste or whatever, at least they're on option if you also want something like magic weapon or enlarge

So I reloaded a hard save and did the needful with Talli, then I replicated every step I took when I first encountered the bug. It always appeared after freeing Us by getting the key through a dialogue. I was able to speak with the corpse nearby but after looting those cool helmets laying around the saving attempt always failed. This what made think it could be an issue with overflowing item IDs or something like that.Since nothing worked I recalled a post from Larian forum that specifically said he can't save while Chop's animation is active. I only talked to him twice (saying why you shouldn't chop him up as well exits the conversation and I had one more thing to ask) plus when he intervened while I tried to open the cage's door. Afterwards he just stood by his table and repeated his usual lines - but that's it. He was still visibly breathing and can be talked to, but no chopping animation whatsoever! So I decided to initiate a fight through the Attack option in his dialogue window. I killed him and voilà: quicksave successful. Same goes for a hard save after the fight. It remains to be seen if this solved the issue for good (I really, really hope so) but in case anybody faces pic related in this area this method is worth a try for sure.

>>544663332If you were a Wizard I'd say go for the 4th level spells but as a Sorc who can't scribe scrolls I feel Monk is more worthwhile. Assuming you're going to play Open Hand it gets even more goodies at level 6. Manifestations allows you to diversify your damage, and the Radiant one is especially useful against Zombies (so they don't come back to life with 1HP) and opens the door for all "when doing Radiant damage" gears. Then you have Wholeness of Body which is basically an extra Short Rest in itself. The 1.5m extra movement isn't huge but every bit helps.
