I honestly never get the point of depsia as an archetype.It feels like something they’ve made on the basis of being the antagonist deck, until they stopped and made up a bunch of random cards. The Bystials in general could’ve been Despia monsters just to simplify everything, but because they didn’t do that, they became this completely unnecessary archetype that makes Despia completely outdated, leaving Dogmatika being the only bad guy archetype that is the most consistently designed without name issues going on.

i started messing around with the new genesys point costs with my RDA deck, and i honestly feel like the new changes basically kill the deck. people were running less hantraps before due to point costs: playset of nibiru was 30, veiler (and mourner) 21, ash was 45. the only handtraps you'd play around was droll and d.d. crow, and that was kind of easy to build and play around. but with the cheap costs of so many hantraps now ( playset of mourner(9), nibiru(15), droll (15) = 39) the deck now gets killed way too easily by a cheap handtrap. am i right about this or am i overthinking? i legit dont know how to look up "high ranking genesys gameplay replays" on Dueling book or nexus to confirm my suspicions.

Other than Chaos ~ ritual, none of the archetypes in dm yugioh were originally based around a mechanic, unlike GX with clearly has fusion focused archetypes.
