Kodaka talks about it as an IP, he clearly intends to franchise it in a similar manner to Danganronpa.It's actually a lot more flexible in that regard because Hundred Line has actual superpowers and combat and shit. By partnering with different developers, you could have a fighting game or a musou, a card battler, literally whatever the fuck. And the game provides the framework to make it canonical. Spin-offs can literally just be alternate routes in their own games.It's actually pretty brilliant if you think about it.

The more I sit down and think about KG Shion, the more he pisses me off. This guy is ok with Takumi starting a cult and bringing literal demons to the school, but killing a person who openly admitted to wanting to kill your friends is too far for him? 'B-B-BUT MuH InnOcENt MaN'; Shion, this man was about to kill your, attempted to kill your friend after he stopped him from killing your dad, then made an entire monolouge about how evil he is and how much he wants to kill everyone. This man is far from innocent and his determination and conviction makes him a liability to keep alive. Shion doesn't need to agree with Takumi, but he could at least try to see Takumi's perspective and be less of a judgemental prick towards Takumi.That's not even getting into the KG ending where he let's the entire group die to spite Takumi. Takumi didn't even want to kill Shion he was just doing what Kamyhun told him. And wasn't Shion active for a few days watching Takumi interact with his friends? He has a skewed perspective of the world outside his capsule. He also *wants* to believe in Takumi, of course sparing him is gonna have a big effect. He has a simplistic view of things. I think a big problem with people critiquing this plot point is that they assume Shion is meant to be the voice of God condemning them for their sins when he's just a character in the story with a biased perspective enacting an ultimatum for what he thinks is best, and is convinced otherwise because of an action that benefits him and validates his own limited perspective of events. The author is judging you, Shion is. And they're not even really implying that Shion is necessarily right, only that he has the power to make you face consequence. There's nuance here.

Not to mention him NEVER BRINGING UP THE FACT THAT TAKUMI KILLED GAKU, THE REASON TAKUMI JOINED THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE (which can be used as evidence of Takumi starting the KG in the first place, giving Shion even less of a reason to spare Takumi) Shion can disagree with Takumi's method, but he acts too antagonistic towards him given he saw Eito's true nature and actions. Here's some way to potentially fix this:1 Shion doesn't know about Takumi killing Gaku, G'ie Aura or whatever 2. Takumi comes back Day 1 and kills Eito in his sleep For 2 especially, that would clear up all my issues; Eito from Shion's perspective is now an innocent man, so his suspicious of Takumi makes more sense now. And now the whole question of ' Is Takumi becoming more like Eito' actually has more weight to it now that Takumi mirrored the was Eito killed Hiruko.

And Kodaka wrote it that way for a reason, its important for Second Scenario that Sirei and Shion know that Takumi was not lying. Which by the way, isn't the point of contention here. Shion believes Takumi, its really just the method he disagrees about.Ending #86 stretches the limits of Shion's naivety to the breaking point and he ends up dooming everyone because he's so blinded by his desire to make his death mean something that he never considers that Takumi would break his promise. That was very stupid of him. But that doesn't mean its bad writing. He's being stupid here for reasons that make sense to his established character. He's not even special in this regard, we see other characters get pushed to their worst in other routes. We all understand that is the point of the 100 endings game. But only Shion gets this much damn scrutiny over it.
