What's your favourite silk skill?
>>
>>544720153
Never used Silk Spear because every use I find for it Thread Storm does better. Always forget I have Cross Stitch, but sounds like something I'd only uses on some bosses. I'm trying it now on Shakra and I can't pull it off.

Don't hate Pale Nails, I just find it boring to use compared to the other silk skills even if it's good. And it's hard to effectively use Rune Rage.

Do you believe in a Pale King DLC?
>>
>>544720153
Pale Nails is the easiest to work in but Cross-Stitch is stylish so I'll go with that.
>>
>>544707706
Would endgame Hornet be able to beat the endgame Knight? No shadelord.
>>
>>544722883
They both beat a Higher Being but Knight can canonically beat theirs when she ascended to an even higher tier of power after murdering 46 other gods back to back.
>>
>>544722883
I'd still give it to the Knight but it'd be a much closer thing. She's leveled up from a midgame boss to a PV tier boss.
>>
>>544722685
Environmentally, I don't think it fits into Pharloom well at all. PK was conspicuously absent from The Red Memory. It showed her three "mothers" but not her actual father. Curious.
>>
>>544723785
The story of anything diving directly into PK would have to be digging into how Hornet is uncomfortable with the idea of taking a throne.
>>
>>544722883
Hornet by the end of Silksong is objectively far stronger than she was in HK. Lorewise, endgame Silksong Hornet would probably be able to beat all but maybe 2 HK bosses. I imagine it would be close, but the Knight would still win. Gameplay wise? Hornet probably wins due to her being way faster.

Gameplay-wise Knight sweeps.
Hornet's movement speed is great, but I don't think it's enough to overcome the Knight's range capability. Mark of Pride would let his nail outrange pretty much any crest other than shaman, and all of the Knight's spells are significantly better than any silk skill. Plus, Knight has iframes with dash and ddark where Hornet does not.

Knight would still win, but it would probably be close since Hornet is far stronger than she was in HK, to the point where she could probably beat all but 2-3 bosses in HK. I guess we'll see how much the DLCs buff Hornet when they come out.

Sharpdart lets me feel the comfyness of shade cloak + sharp shadow, although I can't spam it like the knight. Very useful when a boss or a gank of enemies in a gauntlet corner you against a wall.
I want to try the pale nails because I'm a lazy fuck who gladly uses cogflies and other passive tools, but you get it so late in the game that it makes less of an impact.

I'm wondering which boss to focus down next lads?
1. First sinner
2. Groahl the great
3. Forum gauntlet
4. Cogwork dancers
5. Fire brothers in deep docks
6. The silk guy at the bottom of white ward (forgot his name)
I've been trying to do as much as I can before progressing the main quest so just wondering what a good order would be in terms of difficulty?
>>
>>544791153
Starfield has a general? Didn't that game basically flop compared to expectations?
>>
>>544800742
Firebros > Cogwork > Groal > Unravelled > Gauntlet > First Sinner, from easiest to hardest, in my experience.
>>
>>544800742
If it was me, I'd do:
Cogwork Dancers, Forum Gauntlet (don't even remember which one that was), First sinner, Deep Docks Bros, Unravelled, then Groal.

Unravelled and Groal I cheesed with items, so I'd do them last.
Recommend having clawline before fighting first sinner.

why do some of the fags playing this game demonize the Citadel so much, even after its masters have gone? It's not a crime to be rich and have standards. It's not a crime to provide for your people over the savages who don't even speak your language. Religion is all that keeps men, or in this case bugs, in line, and there are so many degenerates who don't understand that

>>544803108
The Feltinator 2000 is rather difficult to justify.

>>544803108
It's kind of a crime to use religion as an excuse to work people to death

I was really late to the party, didn't start playing Hollow Knight until Silksong had dropped and figured I should and I got pretty quickly obsessed. I haven't really played a metroidvania since Fusion on my old GBA.

All you get from Path of Pain is a journal entry? Thats kinda lame but it was a solid 3 hour fun time and im extremely sleep deprived on top. The anon who said Pop was harder than Act 1 Mount Fay no Clawline in Silksong is soooooo wrong. Act 1 Jump is so much more punishing than path of pain. Actually path of pain never really felt punishing at all i just had fun platforming
>>
Nevermind, managed it.
First Steel Soul run ever, 100%, under 20 hours.
Pretty proud since this isn't my usual style of game, managed to cheese it a bit with Nightmare Grimm and some of the Godmaster material. Didn't have all the grubs, charms or mask shards but managed otherwise.
I was a little surprised at how good I had gotten - one long playthrough that sits at 109% waiting for me to git gud at the rest of the pantheon, but I didn't even have to use the quit bench cheese. I guess now I can go back to Silksong and make myself unlock act 3.

Barely. Weavers are known for how difficult and painful is it for them to bear children to the point they are considered almost infertile. We only know of two great grand children from weavers, though at that point, they're barely a weaver I guess.

How long did it take you to beat the true final boss?

I was kinda getting pissed at first, it's 4 phases and she hits like a truck, but then I tried multi-binder + injector band, and that improved my survivability a lot, managed to take her down in less than an hour.

IMO, the major takeaways here would be:
- wait for her to execute an attack, then be nearby and attack/pogo, 2bh a lot of the time you can just back up then clawline her
- some of her combo finishers track your position, e.g. the double void dash, it transitions into an air dash if you're trying to be cheeky
- don't fucking move more than absolutely necessary else she'll teleport/jump into you and you will die to contact damage like a retard (this was me for the first few tries lmao)
- if you need to cover some distance, do it in the air, e.g. double jump + clawline
- always heal in the air after double jumping off a wall preferably
- final phase doesn't have many openings, use some tools to speed up the process, I used 8x cogflies

Overall, not a bad fight, Radiance took me longer.
>>
>>544863912
out of any boss in hollow knight (havent done pantheons yet) and silksong she took me the most tries at 35-40 i cant remember but i was awake for nearly a day for most of them since i said no sleep until i finish the game. She was alright but looking back i wanted her to be much harder during her 3rd and 4th phase. Though we also know that there existed some meaningful population of "pure" weavers separate from GMS making new ones, so they apparently have males. Probably just really intensely matriarchal out of cultural inertia, but there's a whole lot of funny business that could leave "weaver" males fucked up from not being intended like back-breeding half-weavers so they necessarily have a foreign sex chromosome or being strictly dependent on one of those arthropod sex-changing microbes or hormone disorders leaving them with the technically-incorrect assumption they're sporadic sequential hermaphrodites.

Widow and FS are explicitly said to be weavers.

I dont like that we dont get to know why GMS wanted Hornet in the first place. Was it to get revenge on the weavers? That cant be it.
>>
>>544957091
>Hornet dialogue with Seamstress: "I have seen their Citadel and its state, and I have strong suspicion...They hunt me for my nature. For the Silk produced within my shell. Not for themselves but for the one atop it all."
>Choral Commandment: "Full Chamber to the kingdom of the White Wyrm. Claim the Weaver, in half part. Last of their line. Sensed strong with Silk. Resistance anticipated. Quell with rune cage."
>Widow: Ohhhh! She is here! The rare birthling! Precious child of Wyrm and Weaver! Spawn of those who dared to flee. She has found her way home... at last. How fine her shell, and Silk, and claw... For you, mother... let me claim her all for you!
They wanted Hornet's Silk it seems. She's a cross of Wyrm and Weaver, so maybe it makes her silk extra special. Guess GMS was gonna try and take over Hornet some how and have Hornet do her bidding. Could be a bidding of making special threads, or maybe some other thing.
>>
>>544958434
I think GMS just wanted all the silk she could get from any Weavers she could find going by that room of cages in the Cradle.

Hmmm so Steelsoul in the original Hollow Knight means permadeath even in dream bosses. Interesting. The bosses i died the most on were Lost Kin and NKG. I guess i get to practice a ton of these encounters doing the pantheons cause i dont remember squat about em since most were one shotted

No it doesn't. Radiance is unique in killing your ass if you lose.
>>
>>544970148
ok thats a relief. Still though i dont think my knowledge is enough for SteelSoul yet. I still need a to do godhome + speedruns to feel comfortable doing it. In Silksong i did Steelsoul after like 160 hours in and still i died twice
>>
Just got true ending.

Stopped playing last month because Act 3 wasn't comfy. Finally got back to playing a little bit per week and beat Karmelita and Lost Lace tonight.

>>544889519
>also sold like 15 million
Consider this, most of the mid-generation Pokémon games (3rd-7th) sold about that much in their original releases. 15 million is a huge number
>>
>>544957091
>is infertile and can only manipulate, cannot create silk
>refuses to ascend and adopt more pharlids after their betrayal
>with all true weavers dead, disabled, or lost, soul infused silk has become a finite, depleting resource

>Lace, her beloved daughter, took a huge amount of silk to create and must actively consume silk to stay alive
>might take thousands of years but silk will run out and her daughter will eventually die
>must make Lace immortal somehow
>highest priority after her revenge against the kingdom

>hunts for weavers in other lands but they're almost extinct
>never finds any immortal (?) purebloods, only mortal fractionbloods
>fractions are assumed to have weaker weaving, lower quality silk, finite lifespans, and struggle to breed
>can only resort to milking their silk until they die

>finally find Hornet
>half weaver queen
>half pale being
>has silk manipulation/production powers that EXCEED pure weavers
>is immortal
>could keep Lace alive forever
>is powerful enough to help destroy the ancestral technique and awaken her from her slumber

she might have wanted to adopt Hornet, or enslave her, or possess her body (deleted ending)
it doesn't matter though, as soon as she awoke in a weakened state, Hornet challenged her to the death and she was forced to accept
>>
>>544970148
i assumed maybe if Radiance kills you in a dream, you die for real, but Absolute Radiance doesn't count as a death
so it's probably just canon that if you die to Radiance, Hollow Knight simply breaks free of Hornet and slays you both
>>
>>544980063
NTA, but this shit make so much sense now. I didn't get the whole 1/8th weaver thing because I thought they were all infertile except for Hera and I was wondering why Hornet was so important beyond the obvious half pale thing
>>
>>544980438
it was mentioned in the original game that Herrah was UNIQUELY thicc and breedable built for Big Pale Cock, but a weavenest stated multiple weavers managed to give birth over the centuries, it was just extremely difficult and rare

it's possible they assumed infertility at first but started playing with bettle sperm after 'falling from heaven'
>>
>>544980063
>is infertile and can only manipulate, cannot create silk
how do you know this? I didnt see it mentioned in any of my playthroughs
>>
>>544984093
GMS being infertile is just a headcanon, it's the weavers who seemingly got cursed with infertility.
>>

>>
>>544957091
>>544958434
I think GMS wanted a real daughter. She loved the Weavers, if in a very fucked up way, but they're dead now, so that pretty much just leaves Hornet.
>>
>>544999321
>The Cradle Silk Heart dialogue: "...Better a child spun frail... than none... ...Better a child spun pure... than them... ...One to wish our waking... ...From our Silk... A child born loyal... "
"Better a child spun frail" is implied to be Phantom. "Better a child spun pure", Lace. "than them", the weavers that tried to over throw her. She didn't want any more weavers. If she did, she probably could just make more.
>>
>>545001276
>Better a child spun frail" is implied to be Phantom
Lace is also frail and utterly dependent on GMS, that's part of why she's so resentful.
>>
>>544958434
>Choral Commandment: "Full Chamber to the kingdom of the White Wyrm. Claim the Weaver, in half part. Last of their line. Sensed strong with Silk. Resistance anticipated. Quell with rune cage."
This is the Conductors, they're the ones sending out Choral Commandments. Silk herself, oddly enough, doesn't seem to hold any hatred for weavers , only sorrow:
>Oh, ahh. It is difficult... Upsetting even to think. Strange, sad memories, not my own, and my own thoughts smothered amidst the tangle.
As for her plans for Hornet, it's never fully explained? I thought she'd bind her but that's cut content. And her first Silk heart is oddly maternal, perhaps she wants Hornet as a new daughter-slave? I think they should've really have given her more to her character, you have to disect the timeline and story to figure out her character. And also what's her deal with Phantom.
>>
First Sinner was a really fun fight. It's a shame Rune Rage isn't all that good, although I want to try use it in the next gauntlet room I find.

Snare Setter is a really good tool, the damage it does is crazy.
>>
>>545014814
rune rage can be easily fixed by halving its animation
>>
>>545012821
Conductors delivered the weavers to her with reports. Over and over again,
She received these reports as she made replacement daughters while cursing the weavers.

The conductors were only ever acting on her orders.

Conductors themselves have no reason to hunt Weavers.
They especially have no reason to present Weavers to GMS as tribute.

It was a hugely expensive project,'the genocide of all the weavers. It costs a lot of men, a lot of man hours to track them across the globe. Its also work that brings no power,
No security to Pharloom or the citadel.
Its just a special project for one person's gratification.

GMS did it.
She's the culprit behind genocide.

Finally beat her after hours of tries and running out of shards.
My winning strategy was volt filament+weavelight+cross stitch. With weavelight you constantly generate enough silk to have cross stitch ready and volt filament gives good extra damage. With this you can basically just focus on dodging and parrying with a couple of hits here and there if you feel safe enough.
I found the best attacks to parry her and not end up in a vulnerable position afterwards are any landing attacks, like after the air dash, and the ground tentacle attack.
Cross stitch also helps a lot if you corner yourself with nowhere to dodge or if you trigger her parry.
>>
>>545039000
This what I did
>first and second phase
Stay in the right corner and pogo oh all her attacks.
>third phase
Do whatever. Try to punish during the blob spawning animation.
>last phase
Dodge and spam pale nails.
>>
>>545040826
This
>Try to punish during the blob spawning animation.

And also, whenever she spawns from the void tentacles she stays in the air for a while, I was able to get a couple of hits in if I position right below her.

I didn't mind all the MMO quests on my first run, but now that I'm replaying the game I find them grating. I really don't want to have to find 10 shawls and 30 crow cloaks and 15 pins and 10 more shawls and 8 bells and shit just to see act 3. Feels like this is the game trying to force me to periodically top up on rosaries and shards under the guide of progression to mask how fucked up the economy is. Is the best way to achieve the "15 sidequest complete" threshold to just deliver supplies to bone bottom 15 times in a row, or is the game smart enough to not double count that mission after you've done it once?
>>
Tips for beating Grandmother Silk cursed? Just get good at dodging while running after her and jump attacking, or would something like clawline and pogo be safer?
>>
>>545044014
Definitely use clawline, great for covering distance and attacking mid-air. Also, get gud at dodging her projectiles. She's not that hard, she doesn't have that many different attacks.
I believe in you anon

clawline is great, but make sure to only use it when it's 100% safe. Many times I would use it and bounce up into oncoming blades.

Probably about 15-20 tries. no more thanan hour or two. She wasn't easy, but considering I'd completed Act 2 within a few days of the game beng released and then stalled on Act 3 until yesterday because I thought I'd never be good enough to complete it, I was surprised.

I beat her quicker than Lace 2. The hardest thing was ignoring all the shit on the screen during the final half of the fight
>>
>>545044014
Clawline, and when you're in the final phase and she's summoning ground spikes, just take your time and hit them out.

She's piss easy to dodge, anyyway. When you remember that people do her in Any% without double jump and realise that single jump is enough to evade most things, it's a lot easier

People became unnerved by the zone, by the gauntlet, by navigating the environs and the fear of falling into maggots

Once you accept the maggots and become adapted to them, like the Stilkin, Bilewater poses no threat.

If there's any zone that would be immune to haunting, it would be the place where everything eats silk and people swim in silk-eating waters

>I wish someone made the opposite, Hornet in HK (like the original Kickstarter stretch goal), would be fucking sick and another excuse to replay HK. Imagine stomping the first game with clawline, float and the air heal.
It'll happen eventually. They both work on Unity and it's just a matter of when, rather than if.

The only difficulty I can imagine is some of the attacks/areas that require Shade Cloak. In terms of traversal, they could just mod it like this and allow people to swap between Hornet and Knight on the fly. And in terms of fighting, I think air heal, sharpdart, parry, warding bell, etc. can balance out any damage taken
>>
>>545127740
The mod lets you swap between the two on the fly. So if you can't traverse an area, you swap back to Hornet and do what you have to do.

In technical terms yes but in practice the knight is way easier to execute because of his GIANT spell hotboxes and the fact that you play the whole game with the Shaman crest where you get all 3 spells at once, with Wanderer nailset. >>
>>545162780
His muscle memory is betraying him because all of the Knight's spacings are slightly different and he doesn't know the new heal windows. Where the Knight should really shine is all those platforming bits in Underworks and Choral Chambers where they put a flying mob in a spot that's practically impossible for her to fight safely, and all she can do is seethe and cope, whereas the Knight should obliterate them with Shriek or Shade Soul. Plus DDark should trivialize practically every enemy arena.

I am really curious how well Hornet would cope with White Palace and Path of Pain. It should be easier if she's using Wanderer because then it's just Knight + Clawline, but I wonder if there are parts that would be impossible with Hunter or Beast because of their fucked up pogos.

Roaches AND a giant termite mound zone

The roaches live inside the walls of the world tree, termites live outside and are gnawing in.
>>
>>545164142
Beast struggles to pogo directly downward so probably. You can still do it if you adjust during the airtime
>>
>>545164142
Even with clawline the crystal dash sections would be impossible
>>
>>545164547
Oh shit I forgot about that. Why cant Hornet shine spark sideways? Is she stupid?
>>
>>545164142
You can't get through the thorn tunnel at the end of White Palace without Crystal Dash. The rest will be much easier with Wanderer, Clawline and hover but using Beast would be painful in some parts.
Path of Pain is definitely doable, even with the Beast Crest.
>>
BlueSR being totally unable to cope with not having a dash attack when playing as the Knight reminds me of how I spent 5 hours pogoing straight into spikes because my muscle memory was getting raped so hard by the Hunter crest's diagonal pogo. I swear TC designed these two games on purpose to ruin your muscle memory no matter which order you play them in kek
>>
>>545165919
I do that in a single playthrough

Finally learn and click using beast pogo, totally unlearn all I've done when I get witch crest. Witch crest pogo is just that good

>Cockroaches are really cool and deserve their time to shine.
I hear you, but when people think of roaches, the first think to come to mind are usually the pest roaches (not the wild ones), and pests are usually frowned upon, so I think it's unlikely they'll be cast in an honorable light in Hollow Knight. Same for lice, ticks, certain mites, and possibly mosquitoes.

Also, some people find the sight of roaches to be triggering.

Beat AbsRad and the Pantheon of Hallownest in 2023
Replaying Hollow Knight right now, just beat the Mantis Lords. Even the early-game section of Hollow Knight where you're rail-roaded feels better than Silksong. Hollow Knight really was lightning in a bottle

This, unfortunately :( Silksong didn't even come close to the same feeling of exploration / completion I got while playing the first game. Maybe briefly at the end of Act 2, but then it quickly derailed back to the Dark Souls 2 formula
>gank squads
>unmemorable locations
>useless or non-existent rewards
>laughable final boss
>slightly less laughable 'real' final boss with a bunch of BS mechanics and reused assets
>questionable lore and word building
>>
>>545176219
The DS2 comparison feels pretty apt honestly.
Silksong is really hard but for all the wrong reasons and when you know what is OP it looks around to being easy again.
I found the world design and lore of Pharloom really lacking after how good Hallownest was.
I also really hate Act 3
>>
So, my understanding of the higher beings is that Unn, The White Lady, The Nightmare Heart, and The Radiance are not "Pale Beings". Grand Mother Silk and The Pale King are both Pale beings. What do you think that means? Are PK and GMS both related somehow? Are they both Wyrms that shredded their giant wyrm forms and became bugs? Are they literally siblings like Zeus and Hades? Or is it something extremely superficial, like, they both emit the same pale color of light, so that's why people call them "pale beings".
>>
>>545176707
White Lady is a pale being.
Dunno much more about pale beings, here's a wiki page about Pale Beings/Higher Beings https://hollowknight.wiki/w/Higher_Beings
>>
>>545176707
WL is also a pale being. That doesn't mean much to us other than "more godlike than other gods," all 3 have very different natures. PK, WL, and GMS are the only pale beings we know of.
There is also the Blackwyrm, which implies non-pale wyrms, and Unn, etc, which implies non-pale higher beings, which in turn imply that pale beings are exceptional to an already exceptional class of bug. Pale beings aren't directly related but seem similar in a way that could be influenced by a common source.

Agreed 100%.
I'd even say the game is ridiculously trivial once you get what the devs aimed for with 'faster-paced combat' - e.g. being hyper aggressive on Beast with full melee / Architect will full tool build, and facerolling most content with it (because nothing about those bosses incentivizes you to learn their movesets anyway).
Meanwhile most locations and traversals feel like a chore, and lore is underwhelming and pointless.

I wonder would the sequel be better if they actually released it back in ~2023.

>I wonder would the sequel be better if they actually released it back in ~2023.
I genuinely have no idea what they were doing.
Hollow Knight was created from scratch in less than 2 years.
Silksong took ~7 years and was built on top of a modified Hollow Knight engine
>>
>>545179162
I'm coping, shidding and pissing myself that they took so long to have more stuff and DLC ready to go.

Trust the schizophrenia, more content soon. Any second now.

No one in the game ever uses "higher being" to refer to these God-tier entities.

Pale Being is the word most frequently used, and it seems to fit every single one of these "high caste" (a word actually used) gods.

That gods have different power levels and some simply being dominant in every domain they enter makes sense. Pale King caused/forced every other high caste being to benefit him, or they simply recognized his strength and agreed to stay in their lane (except Radiance).

>No one in the game ever uses "higher being" to refer to these God-tier entities.
that isn't true. it is used multiple times in hollow knight (and I think it is used in silksong too but I'm unsure)
>>
>>545179624
Just to butt in, that when people go 'Rahh it'd be so better without higher beings', they are explicitly stated to be necessary to grant bugs sapience. Without them, in a godless society, they return to bug caveman.

You get wanderer's pogo, pollip pouch, cogflies, and bounce on his head until he dives. Then you heal and bounce again.
The whole fight doesn't take longer than 30 seconds.
Do people really think any of this shit is hard & requires more than 1 attempt?
>>
>>545171904
They don't have to be honorable: just a serious threat.
Like a big band of ronin, a bandit fortress that take and control passageways based on martial strength. Would be fun to fight (and a bit disgusting)

Water bugs is another one of those cool bug categories I'd like to see.
>>
>>545179775
That use of higher being doesn't refer to God-folk. Its never used in that capacity, there.

it is used to refer to beings like Unn and the Radiance who are definitely Gods
>>
>>545180173
When is this done? To those guys, specifically? I've never seen that lore message.
>>
>>545178303
>WL is also a pale being. That doesn't mean much to us other than "more godlike than other gods," all 3 have very different natures. PK, WL, and GMS are the only pale beings we know of.
It might also be tied into the capacity to grant bugs higher thought at all considering that the lacquer the mask maker uses is also a pale thing that might require their byproducts.
>>
>>545182981
All Pale King did was teach science, math, Soul use as well as the basis of effective infrastructure to the bugs.

Its a metaphor for a healthy society and good governance. "Higher beings" just means you are one of those lucky bugs that get to live in His kingdom.
>>
>>545179781
It also involves them ignoring that the player characters are both higher beings so it's not like they're hardcoded to be assholes.
>>
>>545183250
Arguably, the Knight probably won't count, as they've been hollowed out by Void.

Probably how the Knight can become the Void Given Focus, as it can grant sapience, or 'focus', to the otherwise mindless Void.
>>
>>545179781
Hallownest proves that the patriarchal authority of the Pale King was a force of unequivocal good, and that a lesser being, or a succession of lesser beings (like democracy, weak kings, weak tyrants) would fail.

Pharloom proves this to be true.
The only real, true issue of Pharloom is its leader is only interested in gratifying the self, instead of sacrificing her own flesh and blood for the People and the Realm.

GMS is a pig headed god. Pale King was a virtuous leader.

Act 3 is about rushing quests bruh. Ignore any attempts at exploration or doing non-quest activities

Do you think non autistic people just never struggle or have to practice at anything?

Not the anon asking, but this is great. Thanks
>>
>>545165919
I'm watching the VOD now, and being able to still do all these skips using just the Knight is still super impressive. Even at my peak HK, I couldn't do that, never mind swapping between Hornet and Knight and all the muscle memory fuckery
>>
>>545100368
>5 then did him until i won 5 times in a row
That's exactly what I did when beating the pantheons with charm binding. If it was a boss too far into the pantheon, I would even practice until beating it 10 times in a row.
>>
>Give Moss Druid a berry I just picked off the vine
>Ew this thing is gross. Here's like 20 rosaries.
>Give Moss Druid a berry I got like 7 hours ago, I don't even remember where.
>Perfect! Here's almost 200 rosaries.
This shit has to be random.
>>
>>545217391
It is.
>>
>>545217391
There's 3 specific values of rosaries you can get for them, and while it's random what order you'll get them in, you will get all 3 (for berries 4-6).
>>
>>545159719
Apparently the damage/defense modifiers don't properly work for the Knight's attacks, meaning that a maxed nail and void spells shred enemies and bosses way faster than they should despite SS bosses on average having more health than HK bosses.
>>
>>545228208
On the other hand, the Knight can't stagger bosses for whatever reason, and his spells don't get damage bonuses based on needle upgrades like Hornet's. But it is funny how many of the Knight's abilities are just "Hornet, but better," like Vengeful Spirit is just a Silkspear with infinite range and a fatter hitbox that's casted instantly. Hornet is way better at dancing around the enemy to buy space to heal but the Knight just stands there and beats the shit out of you till you die.
