switching bottom code with queue_free fixed my game-quit errors. for some reason the function call would get queued to after the nodes are freed(?) and raise a !is_in_tree() error.but when it's a queue_free() call it doesn't matter at all and I can work around it.I want to pause the tweens when the game is paused though. it's silly.-1.5 hours today.

Been adding a dialogue/quest system over the past couple of weeks. NPCs can repeat dialogue (pic related), iterate over an array of dialogues, check/give/take items, and check/set custom flags.Hopefully rest areas and NPCs will help break up the relentless puzzling.
