Looking back and rereading some supports Shamir has a tendency to reference her "freedom" as a mercenary but sometimes in a negative light. She mentions that in Dagda too much freedom could be a bad thing. Maybe she feels like her life as a knight gave her stability and purpose in life, same with how she says something similar in her S support. Maybe it's a reflection of how she felt having to leave her family behind when she was young. Freedom born out of a negative situation won't feel as good. Her S rank and death quotes all reference this too, she mentions in her S rank that she was "free" to do whatever she pleased and wherever she pleased, she mentions similar things in Ignatz supports, saying she got to enjoy lots of what life and the world has to offer because of it, but her death quotes mentions she "finally found so many reasons to live" and her s support mentions wanting to stay at Fodlan in "the place she belonged". If they do children again I'd rather it be like geneology where they have an entire section of the game to themselves as a part 2 of the story and not as a sidequest you can do at any time (but if you want to inherit the juicy skills you'll probably do it late into a run)
