Any other character, I put my cursor on the soul, I get the last hit every time without issueWith Drifter, even when I'm aiming directly at the soul or even leading slightly (still aiming at it), it has like a 50/50 chance to actually hit. The second attack always lands but the first is RNGI play at ~50 ping so I don't know if that influences it, but I know I'm not missing this shit. It doesn't fuck up on basically any other character

I think one thing people neglect to mention when discussing movement is how much the game has changed in regards to TTK. Everything does less damage and everyone has more health. While of course novelty has increased and people are better at it, it feels more potent because people are much hard to kill. Didn’t matter too much how well you could move because being out of position was so instantaneously lethal that you’d get away like a fly. Now if caught if you have a lot more time to use your movement to get away that even nontanks can shrug off 10 shots to the back and 3 abilities used on them. Ammo pools were also not altered for the changes to health so very rarely would someone have a lethal amount of damage in a single clip even with 50% headshots. So that added reload time also makes TTK even higherHighly mobile characters felt more balanced back then because they were so so squishy. I have videos of early deadlock where a Geist bomb did like half a person’s health. Or bebop insta killing people with a combo. Or haze dagger’s chunking HP. In essence, killing power has declined while “surviving power”(movement included) has increased. I’m sure some veterans remember those days where everyone died really fast
