Is the aesthetics argument against going back to 14 because of compatibility issues (e.g. skeleton differences like those that led to the handegg pad shoulders on some models) or because it looks old? The former I can see since it means aesthetics aren't drag and drop but the latter is irrelevant because 90% of the game is spent so far above the pitch that you could go with PS2 graphics and everything would still look fine. UI is a different story and more about functionality than a modern look
