Is the aesthetics argument against going back to 14 because of compatibility issues (e.g. skeleton differences like those that led to the handegg pad shoulders on some models) or because it looks old? The former I can see since it means aesthetics aren't drag and drop but the latter is irrelevant because 90% of the game is spent so far above the pitch that you could go with PS2 graphics and everything would still look fine. I do admire Foreground's sentiment of striking while the iron is hot with 14 before he loses the knowledge of how to dive into pre-fox PES stuff. I still would like to get 18 on the R&D table, same with getting 20 under a microscope even if most are telling me it's basically the same. The jump back to Fox PES is inevitable is what I'm saying. In this strange place we're not going to get anything new for the foreseeable future we really don't have the luxury of writing off options. Minus PES 16 for every five years or so and I also greatly understand some of the concerns some old niggas got about 14 because whilst I did enjoy the matches on it outside of summer 14 it definitely had it's problems. The big two that come to mind is strikers forgetting they're dribbling the ball and allowing easy takeaways for defenders and the fucking keeper roller that happened at least once every cup. 14 is the most rollercoaster PES there was in my mind. When it was kino it was great, when it was shit, it was SHIT.
