Probably not a big deal but I'm happy I managed to do this with a mix of level 40 and 50 stuff. Turns out all I needed for Outsider to pop off on the boss was to gun it down for a bit first to deplete the Sniper's Honor buff (even if it doesn't show how many stacks of it the boss has). Really easy to run out of ammo with the assault rifle when the bitch flies up though.
