If the meta stays similar this is a super balanced and skillful metagameI know we are only a week into the new set but if the meta doesn't change that much this is by far the meta with the most agency we have had yet. Dirt. Mode, Puppet and Egg are all great meta decks that are skillful to play as and against. Dragon, haven hybrid and loot sword all got more agency, consistency and for haven less oppressive. A lot of the previous good decks get pressured a bit more by the recent decks and most matchups dont feel nearly as RNG as they used to. The mirror match for Dirt, puppet and egg are all exceptional to play as well in my opinion. I really like what Cygames has done with this set for now and it seems the meta is taking a bit longer to stabilize than last set. I hope the meta can stay this good for a little longer

Now that Crest Haven is mostly dead I'm realizing more than during set 3 what a poorly designed deck it is. The secret is that Forest was always a bad craft with bad cards and legendaries since set 1 and it was only clinging to relevance because it had one great matchup against one of the most popular and strong decks for 3 sets (spellboost). now that boost is dead forest can't rely on parasiting off its popularity. most roach decks are still 85% set 1 cards, tempo is relying on a card that was shit in set 1 to even win, rose queen was bad even in set 1, and izudia and evo forest are powercrept by abyss and rune which both do evolves much much better

>>545279275This is the most highroll, luckshit RNG based expansion I've played of this game, and that includes the OG up to when I quit (Glory expansion). Every single deck has a highroll gameplan, and it happens often enough you'll encounter it one out of 3 games at least.
