Here's my solution to the poe loot problem. Once you get to t1 / t2 modifiers there are "transfigured modifiers" that are mathematically similar but different. So once you get to t2+ you basically triple the number of mods avaliable so you get insane item variance

Async trade means more supply of items and lower prices. People complain that loot feels bad now and yet we already have too much loot for the economy to absorb when there's no friction. Async trade needs to charge the seller a gold fee just like it charges the buyer. It's just that simple.

The abstract problem is that as players get better gear the relative likelihood of a good item dropping decreases. Its kind of like a gacha. Async trade and the tree both increase player power. You go from finding a good item ever 100 kills to finding a good item every 1,000,000 kills. Is there something going on with General's Cry or Tectonic Slam of Cataclysm? I am playing it currently and with 10 endurance charges and a 1000 pdps weapon I feel like my 6 link general's cry barely does any damage. Buying carries for voidstones is often cheaper than actually buying the invites themselves, if you push T16 maps day 1 then it just makes sense economically to pay some fag in trade chat 70c for Uber Elder instead of 300c for the fragments and then nothing dropsI've done that before and I've done 4 stones in HCSSF multiple times

We desperately need a way to block breach or at least block the fortress and protect missions.This is single handedly killing the game for me. You go into Dunes and 50% of the map is a huge zone of walls and random mobs that drop nothing. Wow so much fun.Next map you get a fortress and 70% of the map is just nothing and even more walls.If I could, I would just block the current League Mechanic and play PoE. Please GGG give me back my monsters, my loot and my fun. It is really really frustrating to clear a defense encounter to drop 2 Alterations, 20 Gold and after that the map is just nothing.Or make it so I can block defend and fortress and let me have the normal breach with all other monsters still in the map. So that it is ADDITIONAL content and not content, that deletes everything else.I have rarely stopped playing in week 1 and I probably still won't since the build is fun, but this is kind of ruining the experience. At this point I think theres no other salvation to this league.The most important aspect of an rpg is progression. If its too fast, its bad. If its too slow, its also bad. I think GGG did a pretty bad job at balancing progression this league.The way the tree craft was designed allowed players to do big progression jumps. In 2 days ppl reached a point that usually takes 10+ days of farming to reach.At the same time, now that they are at this point. the tree offers very little to nothing. So right now, if you wanna keep farming upgrades, you'll need those absurd amounts of divines, but the farming strategies are all nerfed to the ground.So we went from a super fast start to a super slow grindy lategame where ppl wonder if its even worth it to open boxes for weeks when their characters can already do most things available in the game.Theres no patch GGG can put to undo all the progress. Only a reset can fix. I know that is not gonna happen anyway, which means they just screwed this entire league badly.

I’ve reached my goal of solo farming a mageblood before the end of week 1.I’m now wondering is there even a point in assembling a new powerful build to simply open strong boxes?Slaying monsters and then potentially dropping loot from the monsters themselves is a CORE gameplay loop in the ARPG genre. But for some reason that has been seen as a bad thing for the game by GGG.It’s just very odd that the best way to get loot in a game focused around gearing your character to be able to slay harder monsters, all comes from loot tiles and boxes.Please bring loot back to monsters.

Trivializing six-link defense/resistance gear is strong, but it's not exciting - it competes with already barely-relevant ground loot, instead of offering a "limit break" or cool and unusual properties. Foulborn uniques are cool, but still not competitive with rare items in a significant portion of cases, and they're largely interchangeable from one to the next (rolls aside).This league's borrowed power is mainly from the graft arms, and while very neat in presentation, fixed damage scaling limits how much they can actually interact with your character, and they're printed easily enough that any given graft below GG rolls is barely even loot.It's not a terrible mechanic, in the whole - it's just... boring. I equipped a top-rank graft at level 80, I got some foulborn uniques, and I feel like I've already seen everything the league mechanic has to offer. In Mercenaries I was able to sink massive time into building a Doryani merc with a slightly unconventional gearing setup to make him reflect immune, in Necropolis I managed to fracture an experience gain ring (something that will probably be impossible ever again).It's not crafty enough for a crafting league, and it's not consistently juicy enough for a juice league (especially after currency tree nerf). It's kinda just giving you GG rare items and sending you on your way.
Before 3.27 everyone was talking how amazing POE1 endgame is compared to POE2 and how you can do all these rewarding mechanincs. There are literally dozens of posts hyping everyone.Also had a few friends that I convinced to try POE1 and have already hit a brick wall after trying the endgame because what they get as loot they have to reinvest or run out of currency to keep running any strat. PS: they quit the league already and might not even try anotherEven if you run alch and go you get 3 chaos to buy more alchs and scours to roll maps.What is the point to keep grinding? Even if you get an HH or MB or a mirror drop no point to use it because there is no content to farm.PoE1: before 3.27 had 15+ more strats to farm endgame PoE1 Now: boxes and ultimatum PoE2: well lets say there are more than 2 strats to runThey keep saying that they learn from the past and listen to community but this feels like the opposite.The best retention leagues had good loot and amazing endgame scale. Fix the leagueA quick fix for the league: revert breach asap and also revert all scarab changes. Let us play Alva and titanic. Make old breaches drop the tree stuff instead of breach stones and that’s it. If they stick to this version of breach and loot not only will this be a lake 2.0 but also they game will be forever damaged by losing a fan favorite league mechanic for another poe2 abomination.

Lets compare two players.Player one always had one trade tab that worked fine for him until now. He has to check every item he drops to decide if it is worth to try to sell since he has no infinite space.Player two has 100 trading tabs . He just insta identify the entire inventory with the new feature, dont even look at any of the items, dump everything in a tab and price it at 5 chaos.Now player 1 items are competing in a market absolutely flooded with other items. He has to be extremely lucky to even sell anything While player 2 is probably selling an item here, an item there, simply because he has so much more stuff listed.Now thats the part someone will say: OH, BUT THIS WAS ALWAYS LIKE THAT, RIGHT?NO!!! Because before async trade, if player 2 wanted to dump infinite tabs of cheap items, he would need to port out of map to constantly make those sales that would cost immense amount of time so that strategy was always in check. Now, theres no downside, you just keep listing items forever, Also, the person who pays the gold fee for the trade is the Buyer, so that ensures the seller can keep abusing this forever.Player 1 drops the same amount of items than player 2 , but player 2 sells absurdly more items than player 1. All that because he can buy more trade tabs. Player 2 gets rich very early in the league, player 1 is left behind.How no one is complaining about this is beyond me. I think everyone is about to get shocked this league at how bad the market will be, well, unless you are one of the guys that own 100 tabs.

One big problem is that the only exciting farm (containment) doesn't have any reliable way to source its enabling scarab, other than the strictly less exciting version (non-containment ambush.) You can't go farm random stuff and just get containments anymore, so the entire economy is pretty much locked into strongbox (or standard shitty map farming) strats.
Notice how landmines were never an issue in PoE 2 but instantly became an issue in PoE 1.
