The cast is incredibly bloated, you could cut out half the heirs at least without losing anything. 3.2 and 3.6 are complete filler that didn't matter or drive the plot forward. 3.5 is a complete clownshow where Lygus puts TB in retard jail for 1000 years and there is yet another cycle. Most of 3.0, 3.1 and half of 3.3 do not matter. Herta is a complete joke whose biggest accomplishment is getting Screwllum involved and I have no idea how people like her or think she has any value. It is laughable that the game expects me to take her taunts as Polka seriously when less than 10 days ago we found out that Herta isn't even able on solving Amphoreus on her own without the AE and just ends up as Irontomb's head.The entire Fuli shit makes no sense, didn't need to happen and only exists to make Shartji's pink whore even more super special, retroactively wanking her with Kafka and Elio's prophecy wasn't enough. TB did absolutely nothing and got everything handed to them like an IPC nepobaby and in the end the space chinks dive in and plunder Khaslana's remains because "He would've been fine with it lmao", still managed to wank China in the Space Greece story. I don't love a single Amphoreus character. I barely feel anything more than mild like for any of them. Whether they lived or "died", it doesn't matter to me. They and their "struggles" felt largely exaggerated and inconsequential. It doesn't help that they aren't convincing as a group either. Definitely a dollar store version of the Flamechasers in Hi3.

Finished Amphoreus, the best story told in HSR so far, not a lot of competition tho but overall its the best, most sci fi too. I’m afraid this is the most sci fi HSR will get (unless they nail the cyberpunk Japan aesthetic in Edo Star)

This patch was really bad. Maybe not the worst of the Amphoreus patches but I think it is at least worse than every other main story patch. They took what was already godawful pacing and made it even worse. That Cyrene segment at the end, post conversation with Herta, might be the worst 30 or so minutes of story in the game (I didn't time it)Just Cyrene in general, probably my least favorite character in the story, which is a shame because the concept has potential. Artificial being trying to understand love could have been really cool, or the tortured storyteller at the end of the world could have been really cool, but instead she's just this simp for the mc whenever he's around, and the great yapmaster whenever he's not. I'm sure you've seen the criticisms before. Basically I agree, she lacks consistency and depth, and she has no chemistry with anyone other than Phainon, who she barely interacts with (and Herta but everyone has chemistry with Herta).Cyrene is the worst part but frankly I don't think the rest is very good either. I was one of the few hoping for a proper sad ending, but I would've been fine with a happy one as well if it was executed well. Instead we got garbage which gives no satisfaction and also no closure. I do actually like that as far as I can tell they committed to Cyrene being gone. Maybe my favorite part about her desu because the precedent that 5 stars can be permanently gone would do wonders for future stories in this game. The animated short was also really good and it left me really wanting to see the Chrysos Heirs interact with more characters outside Amphoreus. A lot of them never even really interacted with March let alone the rest of the express. I still enjoy HSR's story at a baseline but it really is telling to me that my enjoyment doubles literally as soon as any non-amphoreus faction or character is involved or even mentioned.
