In retrospect, Flambe's initial confrontation with Mecha Man in the bar seems absurd compared to how he crashes out in chapter 5. It feels like he was literally just waiting to see him again so he could kill him, but the energy you get in chapter 1 is someone who just wants to lord over a fallen hero... Which Robert still is in 5.Also, 100% there's a mole on the team. Purple smoke sabotaging Mecha Man that looks similar to the smoke when Shroud throws his grenade? The secure warehouse suddenly gets attacked the same night our team of misfits learns about it? Cliches would be the "synergy" of the person we fired would be the mole or Invisi. Though BB and Royd are also potential picks.

I like the game so far. The writing is pretty reddit-ish but its not too bad outside of the first episode. I actually think the gameplay integrates well with a story gane like this. My main criticism for the game is that one of the few choices that do have a huge impact (which I'm not obsessing over, I'm okay with a railroaded story) is that not only are there very little practical differences between a cocaine-chugging bat goober and a walking Shadow Stalker Parahumans reference, the differences get so minimalized that there's not only no way to explain to them your logic for kicking them out, with maybe a few basic options, but the game goes so far as to just stick with Shroud and BB calling Sonar/Coupe 'they' to not have to record two takes of the same exact line, but with different pronouns.Costs of it being a small indie studio with a fairly high-effort form-factor, though, I guess you can only do so much.

She's indeed rough around the edges (literally), congratulated Invisigal mostly out of convenience, but keeping her close in a positive environment will eventually humanize her more, specially as she took the first step to turn things around.Another thing that points out this capacity to change is her background with Colm, she didn't persist in the assassination attempt once she realized it'd be harder than it seemed, and instead found a loving compaion unlikely as the circumstances were. So her seek and destroy mentality is not immutable and can be shifted for better if she's surrounded with good character and influence.

Like Flambae and Prism or Golem and Visi, etc. And I'd go for Phenomenal Motivation. With Heavily Medicated he can no longer fly and has to rest for eight more seconds. Also since Phenoma's stats are fixed you can redirect your investment in Punch Up into chr/int if you aren't too far into the game.As for upgrades, P-man is dangerously swingy with the depression mechanic, being insanely powerful until it hits. If you just want another reliable combat-focused statblock on your roster, take Medicated which reduces his peak effectiveness in exchange for removing the swingyness. If you're OK playing into his swingy nature, take the other one. Personally I don't like to bet on failure, but that did bite me in the ass a few times.

Level 1: Shroud waited like an entire fucking day to kidnap Robert. If Invisigal handed over the Astral Pulse as soon as she and Chase were picked up, it would have been in Royd's hands while he prepped the Mecha Man suit.2. She wasn't right because Robert being kidnapped was a bluff too, Shroud knew exactly why she took it and didn't actually care because even if she wasn't always deliberately working in Shroud's interests, she was part of his plan that was always going to culminate in the war and the siege on Torrance SDN, always going to end with Beef being used as a hostage to force Robert to hand over the Astral Pulse.
I'm not a fan of septum piercings, but there's something about Visi that makes me ignore it.
For once a telltale styled game actually sticks the landing, nice. They also made sure to keep whether or not Rob stays a dispatcher or goes Mecha Man full time ambiguous. Helps keep it open for further seasons, which I appreciate. I wanna know who the mascot cat person is, they really emphasized them a lot in the final episode.The final dispatch gameplay was fun and what I was hoping the final fight for that would be. Just hope season 2 puts more emphasis on Dispatching and adds to it.Im glad I cut Coupe, her going evil with Shroud makes far more sense for her character than it would have for Sonar, but I decided to be nice and forgive her. The genuine smile she made when she was back on the team was encouraging.I enjoyed doing a more traditionally heroic route, but I may try to go more murder-happy next playthrough. Anyway, good season. Best Telltale like game I've seen in a while. Hope they do more
