SfP was original made as a producing sim/rhythm game hybrid because Kojimbo wanted to re-invent the wheel, turns out most of the playerbase hated produce mode, so they stopped updating it and now the game has been re-structured as a 100% rhythm game. DMM ver was made with produce mode in mind specifically, which as I just said has been essentially discontinued. You currently cannot play songs manually there, only skips and autos.

I remember a few days? weeks? ago during a discussion about the stories/routes in GK, an anon brought up how Saki gets to LIMIT BREAK while Sena instead has to try new avenues. That has been on my mind since then and here's my interpretation of it, as someone who has not interacted much with GK and only know it through the english fan translations.Sena is someone who has already undergone a full journey as an idol for her age. She's been titled "Prima Stella" and everyone in the academy looks up to her. Presumably she's had concerts and entered competitions. She's been an idol for a good while and stuck to it until she achieved things and more. She also says she has a Scouter™ for Idol Power Level™ and she can see not only others, but even her own. She also admits that even though she won competitions, she has shied away from competitions where she's not sure she wins, presumably through what she sees her power level scouter. She has let herself be defined by that scouter and subconsciously tied her decision to that. That's why the route for her growth is to see that there are other parameters that even she cannot see, and to explore other activities and Idol can do that she most likely hasn't tried before, such as livestreaming. By doing new things, she can gain new perspectives, and grow through that.
