The biggest thing they can do is make sure the critical path (straight line to every boss) is = 100%, some dungeons have this but I think its a good principle to follow (for example ToP is basically straight line dungeon except you need like 2 extra% because blizz is dumb). When they brought back pvp gearing i basically stopped playing pvp or playing with guildies to get their mountmogcheevo because I could not be assed to jump through all the hoops now to get a complete character.Hell i managed to get 2100 lacking any pvp sockets or a bloodstone because they attached such a ridiculous grind to pvp. Also unironically asmongold said that pvp templates were bad and grinding hardcore should be a part of pvp gearing.

You got awarded a piece of gear randomly from the box you get for winnning a pvp match, and every 10 wins per bracket gave you a guaranteed high ilvl piece of gear based on your rating. RBGs were literally open mid if you lost the first teamfight but the reward was tuned around a close match so it just shat out a retarded amount of gear per win. You could also obliterate pvp gear to gamble at a vendor.
