It wasn't an issue at launch, but now people know the loot spots, AND they've realized how good defensive utility is. So every single POI is not only picked clean, but also covered in mines, noisemakers, tripwires, and corner peakers with torrentes.It's fucking aggravating. Why even bother bringing a kit in when there's a 50/50 chance you're going to end up in a lobby with no loot and 10 entrenched rat squads? But you, playing PvE, and opening every cabinet, gotta ask yourself: if searching any container takes on average 15 seconds, and you loot 10 containers in a building, then you spend a whopping fucking 2,5 minutes, opening 10 containers. How many containers do you open in a match? 50? Whoops, you just spend 12 and a half minutes of your life watching a fucking progress bar slowly move from left to right. Now imagine your speed perk reduces that 15sec average by just 5 secs, to 10 sec average. suddenly checking 50 containers doesn't take 12 and a half minutes, it takes 8 minutes and 20 seconds. If it cuts the time down to 7 seconds, and it takes 5 minutes and 50 seconds. So you gotta ask yourself: When you multiply these times, by numbers of matches you play in a day. what do you think could possibly be a more worthwile talent than reveal speed? The only thing that comes even close are the 10 points in stamina, and that's literally the same reason: "reduce the time waiting for the bar to go up". PvE, PvP, no matter what you want these 2 talents at 5/5 because they are beyond goated.

So there for sure is gear based matchmaking, isn't there? I keep running green items only runs, me and my trusty anvil, and all I see is people with similar level equipments. Pretty much never see one of the "end game" weapons. Yet when I check clips and videos, people seem to encounter maxed out loadouts all the time.
