I really like COTW. Something about defense, offense, the general flow... I feel like it's the only fighter, where I learn by just playing instead training mode. You can do decent with just fundamentals here. I like the single-player part too. The AI feels decent at medium to high levels without feeling cheap. Beat arcade mode with Joe without even checking his moves list and had great fun.What's shit about the game though it all the new character designs and redesigns. None of the new characters feel like I'd like to play them, they feel generic and uninspired. Paradoxically, DJ and Ronaldo look more interesting than Preecha and Vox. Billy has a more modern look, but less menacing. Hokutomaru the same but that makes sense - he's grown up and now an irritating zoomer rather than an irritating child. Also WTF Joe wears glasses? Chun is cool though I haven't played her since SF2, no idea why. But as Ken, she feels like she has all the tools for all situations.What stuck out the most for me is the music, specifically the character select theme - it's a variation on the original, but feels kinda moody, more dark.
