Now that I think about it the steam machine might actually be genius. With the amount of power steam has in the PC space they could use their steam machine to set a standard for PC specs. Essentially devs would start designing games to work properly on the steam machine bare minimum because to most publishers steam is PC anyway. Then when steam releases another steam machine upgrade everyone else would know it's time to upgrade. I doubt steam will be releasing new versions of this thing super often. I guess this is only if developers are wise enough to catch on. They'll probably keep putting out games that only top of the line PCs can run. Hopefully capcom at least adopts the steam machine as standard.
