I don't mind the ending being long. The story was long. If anything it's still missing things even with the epilogue quest. I liken Cyrene's segment at the end to the extra time given to make sure the Hobbits also had an ending, as those were the characters with us from the start of the story. Their ending might not matter to the world but it matters to us (or at least the writers want it to). The LOTR trilogy could've just ended at Aragorn's coronation for a typical fantasy epic ending and moved on.

I think this is where I'd rank the Chrysos Heirs as characters after finishing. Aggy was a very well written, stressed character with a dagger at her throat all the time. Phainon doesn't need wanked anymore. Anaxa was legitimately fun and his desire to flip off the powers that be at every possible turn made him a treat whenever he was on screen.On the flip side, Castorice was a sympathetic character but her arc never really felt like it went anywhere. I also specifially remember at least 2 cycles where she goes>hey we never met but wow you sound so nice and I like youand that was weird.Cerydra I thought would have some grand twist or basis for her autocrat desires but she's actually just power hungry and the buck stops there. At least she was slightly fleshed out to not be evil alongside that.

>>546605456Anaxa feels like it was written by a different person each and everytime he was on screen, he speaks pretty plainly yet he always leaves you questioning what the fuck was he on, his scenes are kinda short and succint and even in his forced pov segment you get to see him interact with his patron god and really drives home the whole "blaphesmous" bit.All of the pre 3.5 characters were pretty well handled, maybe because they had more time and the cycle took its time to roll but the characters in 3.5+ just feel noticeable weaker.

I finally did the 3.7 quest Yesterday, and I was not impressed at all.Every fucking text line was a fucking enigma referencing another enigma from 3 patches ago, or lore from books.Everytime I thought it finaly ended, it just kept going on telling me the same thing again and again. This happened at least 4 times.The only time it got me kind of excited was when everyone shows up to fight the boss, and we don't see anything from it in the end.Guess I'll watch some lore videos later.Thinking back, Amphoreus has relly been hit and miss with me.I really like 3.0/3.1, then I remember liking the HyaHya/Aquila quest and the Hysilens one.The rest was just all giberish to me.

Only time they got involved was swarm disaster, and it was just them going after the Aeon while leaving the swarm that is killing humans alone. Universe has had massive causalities since then, yet the Aeons barely got involved. Even in Penacony when Sunday was trying to resurrect Ena out of harmony, the most Xipe did was glance at TB. Amphoreus is even the most Aeons got involved with mortals, from Nanook getting hit by Phainon to Nous questioning TB. Also Lygus was probably correct in that Irontomb would wipe out civilized humans, but a new galaxy would be born from it as well (Irontomb's description says this as well, being the midwife). Will probably take a while and the lifeforms would be different, but in the end they will still follow the paths. So from the pov of a timeless god, Irontomb doesn't seem as big of a deal. The genesis that Cyrene and TB did was just recreating the current galaxy, since it would be bad for humans. Its the whole Aeon's don't care about mortal lives again that keeps coming up, like with Fugue in 2.7.
