Does anyone know of a good place for looting damaged heatsinks? I need one more for my utility station. The spot that I'm trying to search right now is a barricaded room on the NW side of the spaceport arrival building. It contains a lot of breachable server racks, and the KOSniggers seem to mostly avoid that place since there are no weapon crates in there. But RNG keeps spawning me on the wrong side of the spaceport, on instances where fuckall servers spawn.

Does anyone know of any better locations to look?

The other trials had stuff like looting that made it a lot easier to do on any map without too much issue. This set is fucking abysmal because two of the trials (deliver carriables and download data) are basically capped. The other three challenges are all farming ARC which is nearly impossible because every single person has the same trials. You might get lucky to get two Bastion kills on a night raid before some free kit with a balaclava tries to kill you, and even then you only get like 5k points. Wasps, if you do a safe and easy farm from beginning to the end of match, you can probably get anywhere from 10-15k. Fireballs are effectively luck dependent because they're in high loot areas in small batches and are typically shot on sight. So you would have to really struggle to get even 5k on that.

Add all that up and you're maybe at like, 40k on the high end. Check the leaderboards and it's nearly 50k minimum to hit double promotion, and half the people are at 60k+.

Add up carriables and data download at that's about 12k. Add the 8k from if you REALLY farmed for good Fireball runs and you're at 20k. That means you have to have 15k in both wasps and bastions as a fucking solo to qualify for the double promo.

I'm not even that mad because it's just cosmetics that look like shit anyways, but it sets the precedent for an entire section of content of the game being bricked for the average player because fags grinding trials in a team as their full time job will always find a way to score more than you.

I'm only so pissed about it because I know, I just fucking know that in a month when the season ends I'm going to be trying to get trials done for the three star levels just for the blueprints and some dude in the top 100 poopsockers skin is going to be scalping everything in the lobby I'm going after.

Data is not capped. When someone presses the button and the download finishes multiple people can get their score from it. You just sit inside the bunker doing all the data downloads and leave once you're done with it. It's not particularly engaging but it's not difficult. The carriables also have multiple spawns per field depot per game.

This is because of bell curve, not the trials. If you're tryhard 2 you're just far ahead of everyone else. My bracket had people at 45k+ early in the week while my friend at tryhard 1 was at 30k himself and everyone else in his bracket was 20k or lower.

This isn't even close to being the shittiest, the bunker is boring but the raider flares last week was actual abysmal dogshit trial. Field depots are only better because there are multiple spawns of them instead of 3 per map total.

Your entire post is not understanding that this is just a normal ranking system from any game, the higher you go the more difficult it will get to hit promotions and nothing to do with the trials themselves. If you want to complain about the trial system being favored towards groups since day 1, sure, but you specified this week and this week's trials. It was literally the same shit last week and the week before.

I think I've finally figured this game out.
There's a ton of loot in the "Crafting Materials" category, and I didn't know what to loot, what to keep, what to sell and what to recycle. It took me some time, but I've finally noticed that some of those items say "used for crafting" and lists the items it can be used for. And some don't. And I'm assuming all of the latter can be safely recycled, unless needed for a quest or an upgrade.

You literally did need to loot them. They also had 3 spawns per map. You also do not need to loot the carriables, you just need to insert it. They could make a solo "ladder" but nothing would change, you seem to not grasp the idea that the people who grind will always be ahead, which is literally the case with every game. Bell curve type ranking system is always going to favor people who spend the most time grinding.

I don't know how you seem to not understand that walking up to a drop pod that has already been called in by someone else to earn 1,600 points is in any way comparable to finding an unmarked field crate on the map and then taking it to a similarly unmarked field depot while encumbered for 1,000 points and then repeating it four to five times. Which map exactly should I have been doing it on? Blue Gate doesn't even have any field crates on it. Buried City has a grand total of 11 possible spawns, and you're lucky to maybe get 3 at any of the locations around a field depot. Then you better have good luck getting through the city or extracting alive. The only comparable one was Spaceport, which people were also rushing to Jiangsu Warehouse and Maintenance Hangar on. Anons, I'm only 10 hours in so maybe I'm wrong, but aren't free kits retardedly strong? The fact that you can quest and gain xp with a free kit is insane, I'm on level 16 and have all my benches at lvl2 and I haven't used my own gear once yet.
Stitcher is another problem - the only times I wasn't able to kill somebody with it was when it didn't down a shield in one mag, so I assume for your own kits it's blue shield or bust? The game seems pretty fun, just really poorly balanced.
