Please be wary of the fact that the manga chapters you're reading are a fan translation. Sonic saying "Faker" is Azure wind productions forcing the sa2 parallel. Sonic used the japanese word for imposter. Shadow says faker. The translator makes them both say it to enforce the reference to SA2.
