I can't believe people choose drifter over operator in the new war. The entire final battle feels so whack with drifter since he doesn't have the personal vendetta against ballas nor the connection with the lotus. He's missing tons of context too and both characters speak to him and of him as if he's the operator which make it weird. Ballas seething with jealousy over Lotus loving you over him makes no sense. Erra's sacrifice makes has no impact with the drifter because from his perspective he's some random sentient that works for ballas that suddenly switched for no reason because he doesn't know about the old war to know why ballas' treatment of lotus would bother him. Drifter has no reason to waste his time freeing the rest of the ostron except konzu nor does konzu have any reason to trust him. Everyone in the story operates under the assumption that the drifter is the one doing the last stretch of the quest because that's what makes the most sense. Drifter has no stake in this world because he hasn't been a part of itthe picture of reb is to grab your attention
