For example, Winifred the Spellsword would have both decent int and strength levels, making her an all rounder. I think this makes characters easier to grasp for new players while opening up new balancing opportunities.For instance, balancing characters by giving them high or low health is inherently boring from a design perspective. I propose that Blades and Beast should have a molestation stat. The higher it is, the more vulnerable you are to attacks with a rape status effect (RSE). Attacks with RSE of vary by character and context of course (i.e. a midrange futa thrust poke would have a high RSE). As a baseline universal mechanic, each character would have both a light and brutal rape dedicated button, with low and high RSE respectively. In practice, I think they should work similarly to Blazblue's drive button with added molestation interactivity.Take Suzette. She's one of the smallest characters in the roster, with high mobility and rushdown potential. Instead of giving her low health, she should have a high molestation stat. It also makes for perfect ludonarrative armony, Suzette is short and wears provoking clothes, which should make her very rapeable. In certain edge scenarios you could even get a ToD by hitting her with a counter hit brutal rape starter in the corner. I think this can make for very hype moments without having to resort to lame additions such as comeback mechanics.

Kain's mansion looks great. Dream Amusement Park looks decent in this game. Mai's stage? Looks worse than anything on the 360/PS3. Terry's stage? I guess you're counting the macros you can use, but the same thing exists in other games.The reason you don't see much discussion of it is because it's more popular and non-english speaking countries. A lot of the people that like it are from Asia and Latin america. The big draw of the game is that you have to think strategically about your team build because some characters are better at building meter while others are better at using the meter. It plays a lot more aggressively than many other 2D fighting games from its time and that helped you carve out its own niche back in the day.
