Besides, xenos just don't use imperial weapons so from a dev perspective they can't reuse existing gear and would have to model and code a whole suite of new weaponry, then there's also the lore weirdness of mechanicus (Hadron) working on those weapons... Yeah it ain't going to happen.

So enough about what the class is. How about we discuss what role the new class should fill. Should it be another tanky support like Ogryn, should it be a disabler like psyker, should it be a healer? We don't currently have a pure healing class. As great and exciting as new classes are if they don't fill in the gaps that the current classes are missing then are they really necessary? Arbirator unfortunately didn't do anything better than the current classes. If I had a choice I wouldn't bring an arbirator into difficult havoc 40 over the other preexisting classes. We have to hope that the new class doesn't end up being a downgrade from what we already have.

Could be anything. Arbites had a dog. Ogryn is big and has different physics. Psyker gets staves. VT2 necromancer had skellies. Slayer had a jump and dualwielding. I'm not saying to repeat these, just that it could be literally anything. Every class in darktide regens toughness, staggers enemies and does aoe damage and does ranged damage. There's no niches really other than shit fatshark did via fumbling balance but the game isn't intentionally balanced around those things.

No point in keeping them around and ratclick doesn't have a weapon ranking system like shopclick does, so you can't do something like sacrifice them. Just scrap them for materials. The maximum weapon power level is 380 and you'll get higher level stuff as you open more boxes, so don't be shy about just opening every box you get.
