Gacha UR supporters give more stats than freebie UR supporters so keep that in mind. supporters in sub slots only give percentage of their stats, how much determined by the supporter's skll level.>Direct EffectsSome supporters have flat out defensive effects. Some reduce damage taken by a percentage, these percentages are flat and multiplicative by the way. If a supporter says "decrease damage taken by 20%" a 100,000 hit will become 80,000. Stacking a second one will be 64,000 becuase efect mutply don't stack.Your character of choice may also get buffs to defense or reduce enemy damage both which function the same way. Some characters with certain effects will be tankier by virtue of these effects, a good example a Blue Build Tokiko.Some characters convert inflicted damage into HP. The skills that read "recover 5% of damage dealt as HP" are very effective because enemies are huge HP sponges so that small percentage can be your whole life.>Account-wide effectsThere's several buffs to your whole account at play. Namely Awakening skills. Upgrading your character beyond level 75 gives you points that you can also invest in defense. Don't go all in on damage, spread your poiunts evenly in defenses and offenses.>MagatamasThey give raw stats and you can build them to have effects. Personally I suggest making magatamas with HP bonus effects if you want to take that route because HP is a more general form of defense. You get so much damage from offensive racial magatamas that you can instead invest your supporter slots in defensive effects. It's up to you how you balance these based around what you have
