i've made significantly more money via crypto in a fraction of the time and effort than every single fiat paying job i've ever had combined
you can measure that either in the value of crypto i have now or the value of the crypto i've converted into fiat in order to pay bills or any combination of the two
i also don't exactly "get paid". you can gain value in smart-contract related crypto stuff in many odd ways

Anon had too much Taco Bell and nearly burned down atmospherics, but we managed.

Also as soon as I logged off I finally sort-of realized what you were trying to accomplish with the condensation valve and heat exchanger setup. Problem is, what I set up currently doesn't work well with liquids and condensation, and the whole thing was kinda convoluted and made my brain hurt. I think what we want to use is a counter-flow heat exchager so we can keep feeding the ACs 125 degree nightime air and blow the hot air directly back outside. In fact, it might work really well to hook up a counter-flow heat exchanger to each step in the AC daisy chain. I'll have to toy around with that.

What makes you think time is a metric
>>
>>546944945
You should be able to calculate it yourself, assuming a unit length for hexagons. You have all the movement data, so you can measure the distances and the time, giving you the speeds, and from there the acceleration. You might need to do a bit of measurement to figure out if changes in movement occur in a single frame or if there's any wind-up (I think it's a single frame), and to verify what the tickrate is (probably 60fps).

The only thing you wouldn't be able to do would be convert hexagons per second squared to g, lacking a real reference for the size of hexagons. But the postgame puzzles have an actual alchemical device with a bunch of decorations around it so maybe the scale can be estimated at least roughly, though I forgot what the decorations look like exactly so they may or may not be useful.

I've a masters in chemical engineering and work as a process engineer.

Sometimes it feels like I do more engineering in Factorio than IRL. Environmental concerns? Safety data sheets? Preparing investment applications?

The single most valuable thing I've done for the company is some paper flipping discovery I did that gave the company a million or two from a government thingamajig at the cost of a few hours of work.

IRL feels like a meme sometimes.

People hate dealing with fluids in Factorio but I like it, probably why I liked Nulius so much. Having scrap mining require lube is interesting.
It's not going to be continuous because lube is just something I get from surplus jellynut at the moment and I'm going to need to ramp up production, plus want to use bots to handle scrap because >using belts, but I didn't want to build an actual base without both foundries and EM plants.

It's really gay that they don't use their cookies for this, you already have a persistent ID saved so why not let you move IPs
If you get banned you have to delete the ID cookie anyway so it'll reset either way
>>
>>546990127
I can only assume that client-side cookies were getting spoofed. Even in it's current state pizza still gets spammed across multiple threads on /vg/ alone at least once a day. The advantage remains in the court of the attacker on 4chan, and probably always will be so long as an account is not required. But seeing as, y'know, an account not being required is the whole point there's not much you can do.

I'm pretty sure one specific problem individual does it on the gacha generals and sometimes on the ff14 general. All because they are pathologically afraid of yuri shipping. Moderation has confirmed they've been at it for almost a decade at this point. More reason to stay out of there for your own good.
>>546991224
there are VPNs that penetrate that, apparently. But they do still rangeban entire countries to make the spammers shift their VPN location until they get bored, which is why French-anon sometimes catches strays on /vg/.
>>
>>546991347
Funny that you mentioned the gacha generals, I go to that one alt chan just for a single gacha thread because the ones here are so terrible. It's a hellhole full of jeets spamming cuck shit and sometimes gore. I still come to /vg/ for other threads like /egg/, but for gacha specifically I take it elsewhere.

Anyway, back to factories. It's a day off today, I should go build something.

>People hate dealing with fluids in Factorio
It was awful before they allowed you to attach circuits to storage tanks.
Now, you can cleanly micromanage fluids and run them through shared pipe networks.
>>
>>546994749
That wasn't always a thing? Damn.
>shared pipe networks
I've seen some of the single pipe abominations people have made. Spaghetti pipes are against God.
>>
>>546994947
It's the opposite of spaghetti. You only have one pipe, and it goes wherever you need the liquid to. Nowhere else.
>>
>>546995301
Oh, I meant to say sushi pipes. My mind's full of spaghetti right now.
>>
>>546984547
1.0 fluids were a massive pain because you had to empirically test (or look up) pipe throughput and put pumps everywhere.
2.0 fluids are way easier to deal with, especially with the water to steam ratio change.

There any way to tell caravans to skip certain tasks before combinators or am I just fucked until I get them?

I used to operate a nuclear reactor. Just a grunt out there changing chipboards but it was cool. Not an engie anymore
>>
>>546997016
I can't see a way to tell caravans to grab <= certain amount of things and move
I can't see a way to tell caravans hey only drop this amount of shit on empty
So right now if I only have say 300 iron plates I want them to just grab the 300 iron plates and move instead of waiting for there to be 400
I do see caravans have circuit conditions however I don't have combinators yet since they're locked behind batteries and one step after batteries and I'm only now working on cdna for auogs
>>
>>546999553
The "load until caravan has" and "unload until target has" or what ever they were called do exactly that. You don't have to use full and empty all the time.
>>
>>546999947
Yeah that's the problem
Load unitl caravan has 400 x, however I only have 300 x. Unload until target has 400 x, however I only have 300 x. I want it to be able to interrupt and just grab a smaller amount if it's stuck for too long, a timer with combinators sending a signal like that would do it but I don't have them yet
>>
>>547000092
You can untick "wait until fulfilled" next to the instruction and it will grab/drop whatever it has access to and move on to the next one. No need for combinators to set a timer either, adding a "wait X seconds" instruction before the above does exactly what you're asking for
>>
>[Notashill] is a primitive archipelago planet that you start on that offers no reward; technology, or unique resource
