I'm finally reading how these things work.So both the heal fan and heal umbrella use a resource called Dew. The fan skills have short cooldowns but they consume dew (the Q generates a little dew, the instant heal consumes a lot). The umbrella skills have really long cooldowns but they all generate dew, it consumes none. Also, you get a +20% skill damage bonus if you have both equipped. So if you want to be a healer, you should really equip both, since their gameplay loops complement each other. You want to use setup skills for the umbrella so it can drive the dew regen for your fan skills, then go back to the umbrella once its cooldowns are done.
