You know what would be awesome? If I borrow the mystery elements from Lost—the idea of ending up on an island filled with things that don’t make much sense and never get fully explained. Like ruins of a fully functional city with no people, almost like a zombie apocalypse but without any zombies. The 23-year-old and the 35-year-old set out on a mission to figure out where they are and unravel the mystery behind everything they find. But the 45-year-old already knows they’ll never uncover the truth, and that the grave she visits is her own. The reality is that they’re never going to escape that island. And that’s the disappointing, tragic ending. But it still gives them a kind of closure, because in the end what matters is that they have each other as a family.

you just had 1 tween node and could remove it's tween, but now they have the autism where only the tree can have tweens or whatever
it might unironically easier to just handle this thing in process() manually
I tried keeping a tween variable and then using custom_step() to force it to finish and it just hard crashed without throwing errors

The $100 filter is Steam telling you not to publish shit.
Steam doesn't want (indie)gents.

Which hasn't stopped more than 5,000 idiots from trying to sell their games on Steam for $100 each only this single year.

A friend uploaded a trash game to Steam just to have it as a “portfolio” and try to get hired by companies.

I've checked SteamDB and tried to find hidden-gems among games with 0-10 reviews, and it's all generic, bad taste, poor editing, illegible text, distorted images, etc.

If there's one thing I've learned from all this, it's that Steam isn't the place where you'll magically gain visibility and your game will be appreciated as if by magic.

You have to enter with a community willing to buy your game on the first day it goes on sale on the platform.

And that's the part that's impossible and 100% luck. There is no "community building tutorial". It's all just luck if the algorithm shows you to THE RIGHT people.

It had 200-500 reviews for some mid survivor-type games and other games, and while investigating its social media, I discovered an account with three followers and a link to Discord.

In the Discord found 15,100 users.

The secret is have fans who will buy your game on day one.
