I was thinking about "you control the buttons you press" debate and I noticed how this was always the case with Megaman, at least the platforming games. I mean, stuff like Item 2 and Rush Jet were always crutches to help with the harder platforming portions of the stages and we went decades without controversy about this sort of assist feature. X1 was intended to be completed with at least two armor parts (and can be completed with just one) so you could disregard it but X series had the armorless runs as an unsaid optional challenge with the games starting from X5 even allowing you to play unarmored regardless if you collected armor parts or not. I don't think it's as simple as not using your available resources, since other games might have such features intended for use while Megaman is more neutral when it comes to this stuff. But I thought it was an interesting thought. Unrelated Luna.

Manga-wise, it's Rockman 6 by Ikehara, mainly because it feels more or less like the platonic-ish ideal of a Classic adaptation of the games and had implemented the walkthrough parts more naturally.
