Sneed
I hate that they hired the troon modder known for thoughtless clutter everywhere, it makes every space feel so unreal and stupid. Here's a restaurant where nobody is sitting and eating, but every table has a full meal just sitting there. When's the last time you walked into a restaurant and they just had five hour cold steaks sitting there at the tables waiting for you? Shit drives me insane. Trannies should honestly be gassed.
There's hope for this company yet
If Terran Armada doesn't introduce Dogs and cats to the game I won't buy it
>>547284150It was janky. Did they fix the crashes?
I got a PC recently and bought Starfield on Steam only to find out the creations I bought on the Xbox game pass version do not carry over, even if you use the same Bethesda account. They do however carry over if you use the Starfield in the Xbox pc app. So stupid.>>547285445They missed a very obvious opportunity here since the first Earthling shot into space was a dog.I also think using guns on space craft should have meant puncturing the exterior and creating a vacuum where zero g would happen. Or maybe weapons would just lock up in space and it could have meant boardings would be melee only which would also fit into being a pirate.
>>547275438They look trans.
You faggots could have a better game but you just accept mediocrity.
>>547296105meant for >>547296284
>>547296284And that's fine. Sometimes things are just mediocre, not great or bad, just mediocre. That's life.
>>547296284We're immersed in mediocrity cause we are nearly civilized
The Wanted trait no longer seems to work, I used to be able to rely on them landing on the lab planet and steal their ship but now nothing.
>>547298097Do they still spawn in space at least?
>>547299339Not nearly as often as they did. It used to be a nice origin for getting a ship and farming ship kills for class B/class C tiers, but at some point they dialed everything way down.
I think that anyone with over 100 hours logged onto Starfield should be banned from owning Starfield 2, since you know that's the game the first one should have been, and that everyone was asking for while the people who liked the original said "nah, this is peak".
Does anyone know how much money starfield creations bring in?
>>547300513Bethesda, Zenimax, and Microsoft will never tell
>>547300513NDA so they don't say anything but a modder once said in /tesg/: Creations are funding my cocaine addiction So that must be a lot
>>5473005132 maybe 3 dollars.
how much does watchtower improve this game by?
>>547301863must have been trainwiz, hes the only paid modder that posts in /tesg/
>>547304728I think he meant his model trains, which are significantly more pricy
>>547300513All we've heard is that many modders are VERY happy with how much money they've made.
>>547308183Bro I'd be happy with 100 dollars, that doesn't mean anything
>>547309498You having super low standards doesn't mean the people who joined the program to make money have that low of standards.
>>547300290Fans would just be "wow two cakes" about itBut this is BGS fans we're talking about it's more likely we'll get "old good new bad" aneurysm
>>547309498Creation mods are likely a side hustle for people, I would hope people don't comply rely on it as a source of income. I think someone did reveal some information about Creations earning a few months ago, Richard might have posted something about that on his Youtube page.
>>547280280I'm somewhat relieved she's only a contractor because her clutter work are usually full of non-physics objects. Wow, a desk full of STATIC soul gems, staves, and knick-knacks? Too bad we can't use them
>>547311081Okay, there's some info on the revenue earnings here:https://youtu.be/M2YGG_3n8OE?t=806
>>547303646Nothing too groundbreaking-You get to assemble fleets-You get to launch orbital strikes-You can give yourself some support from AI controlled bots, turrets and mechs-New enemy faction-Big space battles (you're definitely going to need a fleet to take them on if you don't want to get fucked up the ass)-A few new POI types-New ship parts-New male companion-Space Station player home-New armor and weaponsIt's basically a DLC sized mod
>>547311993Its nowhere near DLC sized, unless you mean like Hearthfire sized, but many don't consider those real DLC.
>>547311993>-Big space battles (you're definitely going to need a fleet to take them on if you don't want to get fucked up the ass)That's one reason I slightly regret installing that pirated* copy ages ago. They just immediately start fucking your ass with massive fleets and even with a relatively rock and roll ship you don't stand a chance. I had hoped they'd only ramp that up once you've got a fleet of pals but no luck*Only reason I specify pirated is it's entirely possible they've patched it to prevent this and my version's out of date
Not setting anyone with missing legs in Dazra now. Oddly enough the last couple times I loaded my game (Last night with missing legs and tonight) it said the mod load order differed between the save and the mod manager (Which it arguably shouldn't have since I didn't touch any of it since I set the game aside a few months ago) but last time I picked use the load order as in the save and tonight I picked use the load order as in the mod manager, so I guess either the mod manager's load order was correct or I'm just seeing people without whatever the bugged pants were tonightMORAL OF THE STORY: I found a minigun and I'm gonna use it
>>547319316Not seeing anyone rather, god damn it. Drinking isn't mandatory for Starfield enjoyment but it don't hurt
>>547316254There is no way to patch Creations to make them unpirateable. They're just ESMs/ESLs, and other standard Bethesda file types. Also, fuck 4chan. So tired of coming on here first thing in the day, and it saying my IP range is blocked, only for it to them let me post like 5 seconds later. Only been happening the last few days, right around when cloudlfare when to shit and took down half the net.
>>547319475Oh, I wasn't trying to say they're unpiratable or anything. Just that my version may be out of date since it's one I pirated months ago and they may have patched it since then so they don't gank you in space on your lonesome. They might not have, it just seems like something they might do since if you decide not to immediately start Watchtower questing then you run the risk of your cheeks getting clapped between the stars, I had to turn tail and run back to Dazra after wrapping up the Shame questline since there was a huge rape squad in orbit once I left the planet. I also need to figure out what I'm going to do with the few Watchtower supplies I've got since I currently don't have any smuggling room and they're contraband, but I know from when Watchtower first launched they're actually useful in the DLCI hear you on the 4chan bullshit though. I've been caught by the occasional rangeban, but my favorite is "Uh oh, looks like you replied to an off-topic thread we left up for 5 hours, gonna have to give you a 3 day ban for that"
>>547319475>>547316254is there a good place to get the latest starfield verified creations?
Surprised Andreja's warning me off from snake handler religious bullshit>>547321064Unfortunately I haven't a clue. I don't torrent anything after my ISP bitching at me years ago and a helpful anon dropped a link to a Mega with a bunch of paid creations in it months ago and that's when I scooped up everything that looked interesting and set my game to not auto update and locked it all in. No idea if anyone's still sharing them, or if they're being updated, or really WHAT'S going on since I only just started playing again last night. Don't even know if there's been anything cool released SINCE Watchtower

>over a year with no significant patches or dlcIt's just because they have everyone working on a total overhaul of the game right?
>>547345195
>>547345195They're at the very least updating space travel mechanics. That's probably not all they've been working on.
>>547345871Hopefully it's a significant change to space content in general and it's not all in the DLC.
>>547344897Or just frangible ammo. These habs aren't ISS modules, they probably have enough armor and self-sealing tech to handle most small arms, you'd only really have to worry about dumbasses with AP rounds and explosives.
>>547345195what could they change to really improve the game? a lot of the criticism has to do with the story and characters
>>547355817Some shit I'd want>Randomize clutter, enemy types, and location of enemies in dungeons>More POIs>Outpost expansion - make it more like Fallout 4>Let us scrap junk for resources - give clutter a purpose
>>547355817>Alot of the criticism has to do with the story and charactersDo you mean Youtube ragebaiters and liars on Reddit who did not play the game?
I played Starfield for 30 minutes and here's my review
>>547368695
>>547356457Not him but>Let us scrap junk for resources - give clutter a purposeI don't see this happening. This made sense in Fallout 4 because Fallout 4 is a post-apoc setting where people ARE savaging the ruins of the old world for supplies/materials. But that isn't a thing in Starfield's setting. No one is raiding old military bases for binders to get plastic due to a plastic shortage or w/e.>Outpost expansion - make it more like Fallout 4I also don't see this happening for similar reasons. Fallout 4's settlement system made sense because its a post-apoc setting, and random people are just making settlements out in the middle of nowhere. In Starfield's setting you have the UC, Freestar, and LIST, as governments/organizations to help people with this. No one is going to go live at random mc-bum-fuck's Outpost on an airless moon when they just live on New Atlantis. Even if they wanted to live there they'd do through LIST.>More POIsThis isn't the solution people think it is. As is Starfield has like 150+ base POIs, and, when counting all the variants of POIs, something like 265+ POIs. There's nearly as many POIs in Starfield as there were locations in base Fallout 4. If you count all the "placed once" locations like New Atlantis, the game has more locations then Fo4 had with all of its DLC.Even if they tossed in like 100 new POIs/POI variants it wouldn't solve the issue people are having, even though adding in 100+ POIs would be something they'd probably have to charge for as a DLC. They'd probably get more mileage out of adjusting the POI spawn mechanics to make many of the already existing POIs more common.
>>547355817Combat is pretty shit. Even some basic shit like being able to freeze enemies so they take more damage and shatter when killed would be nice. They you could even give some enemies armor you have to get through first and you have weapons and powers that are specialized for that.
>>547370774>I also don't see this happening for similar reasons.LIST faction questline. Its kneecapped by the stupid armistice or whatever that said the two governments couldn't expand, but that can be written around. But yeah, these locations should have vital resources that justify building there. I imagine having sites like the ones in Fallout 4 where its basically a large set piece you can build on. Imagine LIST sending you to a nice lakeside spot (water, vegetation) or a canyon with caves full of ore (mining town) and asking you to build an outpost fit for that purpose.
>>547374926>imagine this. Imagine thatWhy do all the best parts of this game have to happen in your head?
>>547374926>LIST faction questline.I don't see LIST getting a questline. At best I'd expect to see an update like the Tracker's Alliance got where they just add a base and some radiant quests.
>>547375686That's basically what I described, yes.
>>547375775>say questline>don't mean questline>That's what I said!No
>>547375936Whatever, gayboy

>>547387361Tiny Reasons to Explore Space imo is a must have if you like the idea of exploring spacestation ruins and asteroids in Zero G spacehttps://creations.bethesda.net/en/starfield/details/3e722dd3-d83f-434d-ab14-24dd1607738e/Tiny_Reasons_to_Explore_Space
>>547388279Now that I think about it, I should try out the Tiny Reasons to Explore mods as well. Having more unmarked locations to find aside from the GrindTerra ones should make exploring planets more interesting
>>547347502I suppose if spacesuits have built in armour then the ships probably also do, computers and stuff would still get fucked up though since barret crashes that pirate ship by shooting the nav console through the pilot's head
>>547390169Found a location from one of two I bought already
>>547390891
I read a post from ItsmePaulieB that combining some of these unmarked location mods like Tiny Reasons to Explore ones with his can lead to planets getting pretty crowded with stuff since they generate outside of the normal POI system, but the good news is that all of them give you settings to customize how often you come across them. Still, having these might be good if you want to bring Starfield's sense of exploration and discovery closer to Skyrim's.

>>547400901Looks like a premature ejaculation to me
To anyone whose ever done more than 10 NG+ Starfield, do you ever notice your character taking a TON of more damage than on the previous universes against high level enemies? I feel like something might have bugged out my defensive stats with the 11th universe that's making me take too much damage even when I lower the difficulty to at least Hard, and I know that my stats for other things have bugged out before which required me to use console commands to fix.
>>547400946They/them gave up because we support trans girls here
>>547404121Okay, from what I looked up through AI queries, it looks like my stats were actually bugged in the previous universe as they weren't meant to be too high. The previous universe had it at 1120, but it's down to 527 in the new one. Apparently it's supposed to hover around 500-600 with the best armor defenses.
>>547406143More like we don't really care aside from that MS Paint anon and a select few shitposters.

>>547412592I'm expecting two things: Terran's and an Armada. Other then that I'm not giving my hopes up
>>547419743My biggest hope which absolutely positively 100% won't happen is Bethesda decides their next DLC is just "Here's a bunch of dynamic sandbox crap, enjoy". More variety in encounters, more variety in radiant quests, the works. It's probably the opposite of what people who already dislike Starfield would want which is why it's less likely to be what they'd do, but since it's what I like about Starfield it's what I'd like to see expanded more
>>547420579Exploration wouldn't be so bad if the algoritm didn't send you to same abandoned cryo facility for the 12th time with the same crimson fleet faggot using the exact same gear chilling out on the roof in a chair every goddamn time

>>547426074All loot should be contraband cleared by procedures
From what I've seen so far, we actually do have the means of replacing existing Starfield animation files with custom animations made through something like Blender, we just don't have much of a means of injecting new animations into the game yet. Native Animation Framework seems to be the furthest the community has gotten so far, but the mod only serves as a poser.

>>547426074>just pay le heckin 90% tax to a random dude hanging out at the spaceportThis is dumb. There should be a quest to get in contact with certain people in the underworld and gain their trust first before you could have them make you forged papers or something. Might also add the chance for those to fail checks in certain situations. And another more reliable but harder way to personally launder stuff through gov't officials after you get in contact with them during higher level quests.Spacers are fair game though.

>>547483447Did you miss the question mark? The guy said BGS is lazy, yet there are no games made that show up that laziness, so maybe every developer is lazy
Bethesda is overly ambitious if anything
Grav Dash definitely seems like one of the best utility powers to use in this game. Not just for boosting everywhere, but also for the temporary attack buff you get for using it.
bethesda can't afford melee combat
>>547502897All the combat in this game needs right now is for blocking to actually react to the impact, and maybe the ability to dual wield.
>>547502897Just disable it altogether until TES6Melee against guns is absurd
>>547477719I knew you were a jew. Only jews shill for Bethesda
>>547514680Anon 1: Just disable it altogether until TES6Melee against guns is absurdAnon 2:It's feasible in an RPG world where you can take hundreds of bullets and not drop dead. And this is before you become a Starborn where you can reflect bullets back at enemies, or hayai behind them, make a silly pose with photo mode, and then cut them down with your Washizaki before they even have time to react.
>>547517879I mean yeah these kind of silly playstyles would work in a zany setting like Fallout and even then it's a tough sell without VATS With how serious Starfield is I'm surprised they didn't poke holes in your suit and allowed the air to escape
>>547527660Ironically there was plans for you to get powers in Fallout 4 through some quest that happened at Salem, but Bethesda scrapped that idea. They also considered making Starfield part of the Fallout universe.
>>547514680Starfield is full of absurdities, its not even close to a realistic milsim. The UC issuing a naval cutlass is pushing it but I don't think melee existing is a stretch, it would still be useful for stealth and wilderness survival situations.
>>547530429Would generally be a good idea to have at least a knife on you just to defend yourself if you run out of ammo, because if we're talking about realism, you should have a hard limit on how much ammo you can carry and so should your enemies. Hell, you should be rather competent at fighting with your fists too as that's just as much of a deadly weapon without the cushioning of a boxing glove.
>>547527927>Ironically there was plans for you to get powers in Fallout 4 through some quest that happened at SalemThis is incorrect. The Salem quest was going to involve "witches" who would use "magic"(which was actually just radiation bullshit) but it got removed becuase they realized the magic system had already been cut from Fallout 4's version of the Creation Engine. The player was never meant to get :magic" themselves.

What Bethesda should do is make the CD players you find usable and let you find CDs to play in it lying around in POIs. As for the type of music, game feels like it leans towards a late 20th century feel, so it should at least feature songs from the 90s and prior. Maybe a heavy focus on Electronic, Punk Rock, Eurodance, Country and maybe R&B.

>>547712364Imagine boarding your ship and your personal mix is playing. That would immediately set the atmosphere so good.
>>547718157My personal mix doesn't work with the game pick my music for me like GTA

Todd spoke to me in a dream TES 6 is actually taking so long that it's more profitable to just make more Starfield DLCs atm
>>547744673That was Odd Drawhot lying to you. The real money maker is ub the Creation Club, allowing them to make DLCs at their own slower pace.
Started playing Surviving Mars, made me want to play Starfield again. Or at least take another stab at modding it. I kind of hope Todd sticks to his guns and keeps it grounded, but I have a feeling the next one will be some star wars shit anyways.
>>547752656Starfield by default is sort of like a hybrid experience anyways, like most of it is grounded while only a small percentage actually delves into fantasy that at the very least doesn't really touch the world all that much. If they were to add more Starborn content, it will likely either be isolated to it's own pocket of the galaxy much like Va'ruun'kai, or just have it's events happen away from prying eyes since the Starborn don't really want to make their presence known to normal people who aren't actively meddling in their affairs.
>>547752656The grounded setting would've been more popular if they hadn't completely gutted every mechanic that might've spooked the lowest common denominator.
