Finally done with DERQ Z. I think I got the Bad End. Pic related.The game told me that the more Death Ends I get, the more "paths will open up", which means intentionally getting yourself killed over and over again is a requirement for the Good Ending. That's a shitty excuse for padding and replay value. Thank God this was a spinoff because if DERQ had to end on this note I would have been bitter forever. In conclusion, trudging through dungeons only to die is a mandatory part of the game, whether you like it or not. This is not how "Death Ends" in DERQ should be implemented. In the first two games, the Death Ends were a make-or-break dramatic decision in the game, and at least if you chose wrong, you can re-load from where you saved, and the game tells you the choice you made already. So even though you had to watch your party suffer and die into a Game Over. you can carry on. Here, you're expected to die, a lot, even if you have to intentionally get yourself killed just to collect Points in order to unlock buffs so you'd have a better chance of survival later on in the game, while watching recycled Death End CGs, all fully narrated, having to wait for all the text to cycle before you can get back to "gameplay".The game deserves all the harsh criticism it gets. It's a shame; the story is a fanservice side episode and it's great, I actually like Sayaka as a character, but I just wish all of this wasn't tied to this type of gameplay. I'm quite bitter, think I'm gonna go watch the True End instead of running through all of this again.

However, she is only an NPC meaning you can still put her in formations/limit break her/equip her with gear/enhance her; but you can't put her in the dorm or make her secretary. You have to get enough points to keep her permanently which you get double points by having her in the fleet that fights the boss and have her still alive.
