For a letsplay to be worthy of my attention, the letsplayer has to be funny, or has to have some interesting commentary. A good letsplayer could play a boring and shitty game and make an entertaining video out of it. Merg is not that kind of letsplayer. His commentary consists simply of narration, obvious observations, empty praise, and the occasional poorly executed joke. It's clear that he relies solely on the market of people who are "trying out" a game by watching a letsplay, in which case his content is inferior to a silent playthrough. He also comes across as the type of person who pretends to be impressed by everything, and has no real opinions aside from a constant stream of empty positivity, which thoroughly pisses me off. Therefore, I don't watch him. It's the opposite of entertainment. It's not even entertaining as cringe. It's bland. It's boring. It's empty of meaning to me. Therefore I do not watch it.

I think halo 1 is my favourite. Just everything in that game has such character and charm to it that just make it incredible. My favourite thing to do in that game is to reload encounters so I get to see the marines and aliens fight each other over and over.
