I feel like I need to invent a new system, a formulaic way of viewing Tekken that frames interactions as probability and value based weighted transactions, and then use said system to design a way of playing that maximises my average damage-dealt/damage-taken per interaction. Unfortunately I don't know if said system is possible to create. Let alone use to any meaningful effect in a real match. There's already so much to think about mid-match. whenever I play vs a weaker opponent, I notice that I don't even need to download them to win, I just run my formula and it gives me more value per interaction than my opponent in a similar sense, I notice that when playing vs superior opponents, I don't necessarily spend the entire game getting mixed up or blocked even if I'm losing badly, they just play in a way that magically seems to be more efficient than what I can mange. this is really troubling, I feel like there's a whole world of tekken theory that I'm not aware of, and yet is responsible for me being a hardstuck GoD 0 player.
