None of the spear styles are particularly good in arena. The Nameless Spear spin combo is extremely easy to dodge out of. The rat buff from Rope Dart allows Dual Blades to do disgusting amounts of damage, I never really see it used anywhere else. Mo Blade is trash, I've never lost to a Mo Blade user. Umbrella and Fan seem like solid zoner weapons, I never see their heal styles. Strategic and DB really just shit on everything else.

I still think Blade & Soul style combat would have suited the game more. I heard even they had their original system rehashed/gutted at some point though. Imagine a more flexible loadout that actually allowed for theorycrafting your own arsenal of martial arts moves, skill trees, etc Might be less balanced but the game is mostly pve anyway...
>>547814375way more brutal, you needed 4 pets to loot mobs and looting mobs was the main way to make money and you also needed to level the pets up then upgrade them to tier 4 from tier 1 since tier 1 mobs loot slow as fuck, which required you to mash paid pets into each other for a CHANCE to upgrade from t1 to t2 and so on, you had to do this 4 times to be able to make actual good money from grinding otherwise you were stuck manually looting all of the stuff your pets would miss. if you had 4 t3 pets you were in a good spot, if you had 4 t4 pets you were making real money at the same spot killing the same mobs with the same damage. back then you also needed a lot of inventory slots because the game would only give you like 32 or something for free, with a max of 192 slots. if you wanted to afk fish you absolutely needed close to max slots or you weren't making any money. if you were grinding you needed more like 70 to grind relatively comfortably since all the grind spots spammed your inventory with a lot of shit that didn't stack. these items were also very heavy so you needed a lot of weight if you wanted to grind and weight was expensive. if you grinded to lv60 or whatever and you didn't like your class and wanted to reroll then you were fucked and all those inv slots/weight you bought are on a useless character. then they introduced fairies which granted you a skill that used potions automatically, on cooldown, which was massive because it freed up a hotbar on your 1-9 keybinds or whatever and you didn't have to spam that key to heal anymore. the catch is that you had to reroll your fairy skills until you got the autopot skill and it costed anywhere from like 5 bucks to 20 bucks a reroll. literally changes the way you were able to play the game on a fundamental level.all this and the cosmetic customization is still shit
