I realized what's wrong with the storytelling, you spend 80% of every chapter staring at screens like top pic, just a bunch of characters in a row staring forward and doing stock emotes. That's the story presentation for basically the entirety of every chapter, and because there's so little gameplay, it's what your looking for almost the entire experience. It's boring, The story presentation in this game is fuckIng BORING.Meanwhile in WuWa there is CONSTANT shifting camera angles, one singular scene can have like 20+ angles, sometimes the camera is zoom in, sometimes zoomed out, sometimes it's focused on one character or another, sometimes multiple, sometimes it focuses on the environment itself, creating beatiful shots like the below image. You NEVER see this or anything like this in ZZZ because you spend virtually the entire story watching scenes like the above pic. presented like a boring visual novel. It doesn't help that ZZZ uses the dogshit Unity Engine which can't do what WuWa can do with UE4. The lighting engine for example in UE4 is significantly superior to Unity. Still, the ZZZ devs could do far better job. I don't understand why they picked this extremely boring and static story presentation format. This is game with full 3D models, pretty high quality and well animated and expressive models, there is ZERO excuse for using the visual novel format.
