Retards not understanding that evil is a concept that doesn't truly exist. Typically when they think of "evil" they think of a mishmash of various psychological states and personalities that negative and lead to negative actions. Eggman isn't "evil" the same way sonic isn't a "hero". He's selfish, a megalomaniac, short tempered and has extremely poor self control. He does what he wants because he wants to. Sure he changes a bit between games but he's always at his best written when he's acting like basically a giant child bully. He isn't meant to be malicious for the sake of it, if he hurts someone it's because they're in the way or trying to stop him. If everyone did what he wanted he'd be peachy, a very neighborly guy because he's getting everything he wanted without fuss and being treated how he likes. You can tell a lot about a person by their esthetic likes and Eggman is very much just a big, mean, extremely intelligent child.
