The heroic weapons in this patch are a massive disappointment. Only Thunder Hammer is good and that's because he has a nice aoe effect.

And why would devs nerf the sniper rifle along with heavy bolter? Other than fucking with the players those changes make zero sense.

got back into the game after playing around 30 hours of it on release (including all operations+a good amount of pvp).
Its nice to see some of the addition and change, but holy shit, the upgrade/unlocking system is a chore, I hate that the cosmetics uses the same ressources as weapons & perks

They really should've made a blood angel skin for the power axe.
Chainsword already has a lot of skins. Power axe has nothing but the defaults after months. Commander Dante even prefers power axes, and he's the blood angel chapter master and arguably the most famous sanguinary guard armor wearer, despite not really ever officially being one.

Fuck using the non heroic chainsword this patch as well. The block power axe is usable now, we got the new heroic power fist to play with now, we got the new heroic thunder hammer to play with now, the power gladius got reworked, and they just reworked the heroic chainsword again, which you can't change the skin on.

Assault got a useless dash attack in PvE but the two heroics he can equip are pretty fucking good.
Parry Fist with good light attacks and the charge attacks aren't AS strong but those vacuum wave were busted anyway so you're not losing that much damage.
Heroic Hammer is just a straight upgrade to fencing hammer and because CHP is ass with it, I preferred the parry hammer anyway

The dash attack made pvp fun.
It one shots players, so you can just dash into deathballs and one shot like half the other team at once. You can have half your team do nothing but die and not get kills, then contribute enough kills alone to cancel out the entire enemy team's.
If you have dash attack-pilled assaults on either team, matches are like assault vs assault with 4 or 5 adds in the background that can do nothing but get caught in the crossfire. Like gods fighting amongst mortals.

My thing about them is they just have no real substance to their existence compared to most of the other first founding chapters. This as well as the fact their heraldry doesn't really stand out like the other chapters either in that they only get really good around their veterans, the same veterans that might as well exclusively be sanguinary guards because it seems like anyone not a chaplain or SG in that chapter is black raging every other week.
I mostly blame GW who consistently refuses to feature much of anyone besides the Ultraprotagonists.
