I just feel depressed about the Sonic franchise increasingly embracing Westerners who don't like or understand the characters I cherish. They want to change all of the characters into something they've never been, because they never loved these characters as they are. The passion and ideas that brought me inspiration in life rot away as people cheer. They put radical politics that make me stressed into the franchise at every opportunity, and it's as if that matters more to them than Sonic itself. Fans turned officials, who tell me I am no longer allowed to love Sonic and who publicly say they hate Sonic, have power instead of the people who made Sonic so inspiring to me in the first place. I'm not even really angry, I just feel dejected. Watching what once brought me so much joy become unrecognizable, in the hands of people who hate me and everything I hold dear. The real world is hopeless, there is no future for me or my country. I will never have the same opportunities my parents did, I will never be able to afford a home. And now I can't find comfort in Sonic anymore or use it to distract myself because they've embedded some of that very hopelessness right into the media itself. Some days I'm not really sure what I have to live for. I don't want to die, but I don't want to do anything anymore either. I no longer want to create or imagine. I just want to sleep and forget.
